Just stumbled upon your tutorials and you are great at them. I will be trying this tonight.
Great tutorial, I will try it out tomorrow.
This will be my first Serger project and also my first lowland pattern. Do you have any fleece recommendations and or extra tips? I love the multiple colors in yours!
Never ever have i seen something more relatable than a scissors with the label on them 😅 luckily my kids respect my scissors more than i did my mother’s 🙈

Hahah I love that you noticed!
Can you tell me what serger thread you are using? The rainbow color makes me think I wouldn’t have to change it as often when sewing for my kids. Is that true? Thank you for this great tutorial!

Hey! I looove using rainbow thread for my kiddos clothes because it’s fun, it coordinates will multiple items and they love it. So I buy mine from wawak most is the time. They have tons of color options and shipping is always $5 unless you order enough to make it free! Pretty sure Amazon has it as well.

I'm so glad you answered this, because I was wondering about this thread as well. Thank you. The little jumper and your little one are both really cute 🥰
Hi, great tutorial, thanks. What sewing machine do you use? What machine would you recommend for a beginner?

Hey! Thank you:) I use a Bernina, I looove this brand, but it is more expensive. A pretty basic machine is just fine, you’ll want a button hole stitch, straight and zigzag stitch and most else isn’t necessary. If you’re able to save up and get a serger eventually it will make a world of a difference!
Where did you get your fabric from, if you don’t mind me asking.

@@ComeCreateWithKim thank you!
any tips on avoiding needle breakage? I call this the needle-buster pattern....

So I did all of the zipper sewing with my sewing machine, not serger because I’d rather break my sewing machine needles 😂. But honestly, just take it slow. You can often feel if it’s about to get stuck that way. But otherwise, I don’t have much advice! This one didn’t break any needles for me, but other projects recently have so I totally get it!

Hi, I have to change my needle when I'm sewing thicker fabrics or multiple layers. I use a "jeans" needle and it makes a world of difference.
Your collar piece does not look as per pattern is there a reason?

Hmmm no, I didn’t do anything different in this pattern aside from color blocking the sleeve

they must have changed the pattern as mine is different too - a slanted edge
