This channel is great, Brandon. Inspiring! I have an old Honda Nighthawk with all four if it's carbs sitting on my bench. Been there for several years just waiting for me to rebuild them and put back on the bike. Watching this channel has me fired up to get that done. I do have a few other things that need to be done before that, but hopefully I can get it back together this fall. If not, I'll be a good winter project. PS Getting my garage insulated and heated soon so if it does happen to be winter when I get to it... I'll be doing it in my heated garage. Yay!

@Tubeagrutis thank you! Its super relaxing working on bikes (especially in the winter). Its a great feeling taking something that needs some attention and bringing it back again. Im never in a hurry. I just take my time, usually have a little jazz music playing in the background and just let my troubles dissapear. Its good for the mind and body

Thank you so much for this video! I just installed this kit on my 2022 MT--03 and it fits like a glove (even though it's "officially" not meant for a 2022 - I took a chance!) The product is great but the 1 page instructions from T-Rex leave a lot to be desired. Your instructions and hints were amazing. I could not have installed this without this video. Well done!

No problem getting an MT03 off the paddock stand, they’re so light, that’s what attracted me into buying one after owning big Triumphs. My MT is the perfect bike for me.

@@MotoVated207well i got a 2014 ninja 300. It only have 3200 miles on it. Got it for $1500 from a friend to learn on. But definitely still want to get a new R3 hopefully next year.

Brilliant job done! I find this video super helpful as I lowered my R3 at mechanic shop 3 months ago. And now I want to reverse it as I'm more comfortable with the bike now even on my tippy toes. Do you know if I can just remove it and keep the flat head bolt washer from the kit or I'll have to use the original bolt from OEM?

Thanks! I think the bolt that came with the kit will be too long. You will want to use your OEM bolt. If you don't have it you can get parts for this bike super cheap through Motosport. I order a lot of parts through them and I've never been dissapointed. They even are great if you need to return or exchange something.

@@MotoVated207 I see I see. Thanks for your recommendation! Unfortunately the mechanic who installed lowering kit for me didn't keep the original bolt so I'm ordering OEM bolt and mud flap from a local supplier in Sydney. Do you think I need anything else for restoring the bike?

@@amylyu4392 maybe a longer kickstand and kickstand spring if a shorter one was installed. Other than that the bolt and mud flap should do it 👍

You might be able to but I don't like the looks of any of the aftermarket kickstands so I took the original kickstand and cut it down so it looked factory then had it powdercoated. Here is how i did it. kzread.info/dash/bejne/l56cxNWBdtXHm7Q.html

You could get a ratchet in there with a Low profile Micro or mini Socket

I'm not sure of the tire size. They are the original tires that came on the bike.

I’m 5’6 & I can somewhat almost flat foot it, you think after lowering it how you did I can flat foot it or if I lower it more ?

Oh yah. If you can almost flat foot it now, you will be able to for sure after you lower it. You might not need a shorter kick stand either. I shortened mine but I probably didn't need to because the bike has a pretty good lean before it's lowered.

Do you know if theres ant swing arm extensions for this bike???

I'm not sure. You could give them a call and I'm sure they can point you in the right direction. On a side note, I'm super happy with the kit. She has put on a few hundred miles and it's flawless. You wont be dissapointed

I'm not sure on the fitment but my wife is 5-5 and this fits her perfectly. She can easily flat foot it and she feels very confident with the low stance.

Super easy, I leaned it over to the side then slid a jack stand under it and stood it back up. Then I carefully leaned it the other way while on the jack stand and slid the other stand under.

The tops of your front forks looks like they’re only up about 1”. Mine are 1.5” and look much higher than yours.

I might have set it to 1". I think we tried 1 1/2" initially and it was too low so I think we ended up going 1".
