That was an insane match. Battle of titans and just a spectacular show. What a crazy ending.

This series is by far the best quake champions series I watched. Event better than all the finals. Thanks Raisy. And yes, the casters looked upset in the end.

If Rapha doesn't go up for that heavy on Deep Embrace, he probably sweeps Raisy 3-0. The skill level between Rapha, Killsen, Raisy and Venguer is practically equal. Anyone one of these guys can beat each other on any given day.

Vengeurr was ahead of the curve last QCon. I don't know what happened to him since - he seems like 70% of his peak now.

@@stoneeh Yeah from what I understand he had some life issues that interfered with his game time. He started the tournament looking like that 70% guy you mentioned - couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the railgun for the life of him. We got glimpses of his championship form in his final match against Raisy though, unfortunately it was a bit too late at that point.

Vengeur never dueled rapha in any toornaments actually 🕵️

rapha unfortunately seemed to follow his recent trend of being a bit too aggressive throughout the tournament. uncharacteristically kept taking fights he had no business taking

@@sjaysaama4515 his aim not being best didn't help sure, but that has never been what rapha's style depends on. the key turning points in the match tended to be unnecessarily triggered by overaggression

​@@spEXartELITan sad to say, since I'm everything but a Rapha fan, but yes. He basically just pissed those last 3 maps away with unnecessary, unintelligent aggression. I'd really like to have seen him beaten solely via his opponent's skill, like last QCon, or some of the earlier tournaments vs cypher, rather than his own mistakes.

Incredible the amount of mistakes rapha made. They both made quite some due to stress and whatnot, but rapha's ones were very surprising, especially on dm6. It's almost like he wasn't trusting his LG and RG and kept using RL all the while not using the tribolt as much as he used to. Not switching to LG when raisy was taking jump pads many times, I don't know it felt like odd decisions. raisy prevailed but it was very close, let's hope one of them share some match analysis later ;)

he's been making mistakes the whole season, he's not feeling it anymore, tilts a lot more than he used to, blames everything but not himself, i dont think he analyzes games anymore. Its hard to stay on top at all times, he was a world champion enough times to be respected, despite his losses.

He used LG in the last fight where raisy had 10 hp prior to picking the health bauble. If he used rl he would have kicked raisy. Others have caught up and outstanding aim is simply necessary at the highest level.

@footballcoreano yep. He won so many he shouldn't have (on gambles, or sheer arrogance, hoping his opponent wouldn't counter his aggression), it's good to see him participate in finals but not win them anymore.

@@dariusus9870 He didn't have an RL though, and he had to make a move. He could have gone for LG or railgun, LG was more reliable in that situation.

I don't understand why Rapha played so much unnecessarily aggressive which gave any opponents many opportunities.

Those 2 "impartial" commentators were obviously in the team rapha!Unprofessional and emotional involving by the both of them!

They are required to give their opinion and you're free to disagree with it but can't be angry because it doesn't align with yours :) it absolutely does not have to agree with your opinion whatsoever

Defensive rocket from Raisy was good too. That tight spot makes it so that to get line of sight means Rapha has to get close. Rapha's LG is decent, even though not the best. However, being juggled like that will be hard to aim for anyone. Only maybe Serious, Tox, or Cypher can maintain tracking there while juggled but with how fast the bounce and follow up happened Raisy would have likely won that in most cases. Edit: on second watch I guess Rapha missed a few initial cells. Pretty high adrenaline moment but perhaps better aim would have turned it around in Rapha's favour.
