Spray the new frame with Fluid Film and you will never have to deal with rust like that again.

Just stay off slated roads, my jeep has done more beach miles than road miles and has zero rust. We don't have any vehicle's rotting like that in Australia

I would have been completely gutted when I found that frame rust. I hope you got an amazing deal on the Jeep to offset all this extra work.

Wow... I am sorry about that rust issue. I have a 97 TJ Sahara I bought with 8k miles in VA and relocated to SoCal (19yrs. ago) and frame still looks great after 27 yrs. / 220k miles.

When shifting a vehicle around, a floor jack is man's friend, lift rear axle by pumpkin & pivot. Bonus, if the frame can be repaired once the body is off. If frame swap goes smoothly and frame's repaired, could decide to limit frame repair underneath a jeep.

17:33 that diff cover gasket you laid is half in front of the bolt holes and half behind them.

saf t cap makes the pieces for that had to do mine. same issue, looks like your already had the rear section welded in which i also did.

I commend you for taking this on in a garage scenario. I would question why you didn’t go ahead and remove the fuel tank, axles and suspension components from the donor frame prior to all the paint work. Would have been good to drop the tank and hang the frame or half-rotisserie it. I know you didn’t discuss but hope your donor frames axles are the best gear ratios possible and not 3.07s. Is your fuel system and gas tank the appropriate fuel pump setup for the swap? Can’t wait for the next video.

The first thing I saw was the previous frame patch, I would have looked really good at the rest of the frame when I saw that.
