nut fours.... First most nuts are slightly rancid before they are turned into flour. Then the process of grinding into flour further causes the omega six to go rancid with massive exposure to air. Then that flour, assuming you're baking with it,, becomes further rancid with heat. That is where the harm is. Same with fish oil. Cold pressed flax oil, even if refridgerated, will go rancid within a week after pressing.

Let's not forget the phyto sterols that nuts and nut oils contain also that mimic the behaviour of cholesterol in the body and become integrated into cell membranes.

Good to see you Dr. Knobbe. Wouldn't you know your first answer to the question about nut flours is something I have wondered about. So, thank you!

Don't statins substantially lower CoQ10 which is not only essential for oxidative phosphorylation (making ATP/energy) but it's also a powerful antioxidant. Lots of oxidative stress in the mitochondria is the natural byproduct of OXPHOS, thus why MnSOD is critically important along with CoQ10 and even cellular melatonin.

So many doctors in the audience, yet when you go to your GP, it's all about LDL C, statins, and "moderation in everything" dietary advice. Seems to me that many doctors are in cognitive dissonance when it comes to the lipid heart hypothesis.

They're more worried about their bottom line than our health. A serious conflict of interest where we are the product instead of the patient.

I’ll never get over how facile and uninsightful “everything in moderation” is as a dietary take. People have been able to be as shallow for thousands of years, there’s not a shred of modern understanding in it, it just plays well in social groups.

Dr ken barry said it best. Do you want gold silver or bronze. Or dead last. Hit the big points and have fun after that. I love me some wheat flour bread coated in butter. It's treating me way better than my old habits of french fries and nacho chips. I loved those and would inhale a pound or two of those in a few days easy. I've been in a new diet based on this channel and a few others that focus on low carb. It's been 1.5 years now. My Blood sugar took this long to get down. Fasting sugar went form 95 to 85 to now 70 in that time. Longer fasts 3 days or so. Over this time. Do not be frustrated it doesn't come down right away. Apparently the omega 6 may take 2 years to get out of you.

Any new folks here. Go back and watch all of the videos on this channel by Paul mason. It explains some of the plant cholesterol and why they are so bad. I'm more on the side that coconut oil is bad too. Not super bad, but not good.

I was just in estes park and they have a new statue area to the stanleys. Stanley hotel stands today. 6 of the folks they memorializes. They stated their age and they all lived to over 80. We assumed 1800's people didn't live that long. Oh they did with none of this garbage allopathic non-sense and poor diet recommendations. It's hard to tell someone red meat is good for them.

What has happened to Dr Chris Knobbe hair, hope it is not diet related? IF it can not be picked, dug, grown or hunted, think twice before eating it. Nutritional label = warning label. No human trails are needed - we just need to eat as close as to how our ancestors did and not eat too frequently. Before I forget, MOVE more.
