The bridge pickup is based on a Demarzio pickup Tony had retro fitted to his original P bass. He said in an interview that the extra output of that jazz pickup balanced really well with the P pickup

Very nice demo. Clear sound, unlike other reviews. I've had mine since 2013 and play in a Steely Dan cover band, mine works well for that style.

Love the TF P-bass! The way I look at the electronic set up is that the front position switch gives you the traditional P-bass. Then, the back two positions give you options. With the mix controls (like on a jazz bass) it takes more time to dial things. Great review!

I hope your issue with the neck pickup diminished after you started playing it, L A. It didn’t sound like you let it inhibit you during that Doobie Brothers cover.

Is the bridge pick up 60's Jazz Bass position or 70's Jazz Bass position?

Man, I got to hand it to you. I’ve been watching lots of videos on fretless basses and 90% of players play up or down to the note but you are nailing playing in tune. I’m a guitar player who just became in love with the bass and am starting from square one, I love the thought of a fretless but I may need to really get better technique from my fretted bass first. Could you share any advice please? Thanks!

I play guitar and bass and yes both are a different way of thinking and not being rude, but do you know, able to hear, and reach pitch ? If given a song in the style you do best, but not told the key, could you bend one note to pitch and then know where on the neck in the song your are? If playing slide guitar can you play without looking in pitch? Also, do you know what the term a slur note is?

The first time I played fretless was in a music shop. Of course it went pretty badly, but when I put it back in the rack, the guy from the shop said 'Maybe you did not sound ok, but I could hear that you tried to compensate bad notes. I would not stop you from buying one.'
