My favorite 'kitchen knife' is a Bark River Mini Kephart (cpm3v). I own several other kephart knives, the shape/design just 'works' for me. Unfortunately Brisa are out of milled scales for the Kephart, was hoping to build a DIY this winter!

Bark River Mini Kephart is a model I've eyed on quite a while. Looks nice! This Brisa Kephart got actually quite a bit of use as a mushroom knife also. Super slicer. Thanx for watching!🌲🔪🌲

I have a DIY version. Besides being an excellent knife, it's great fun to build one yourself!

The season is just insane at he moment here. One of the best I can remember. And I’ve picked mushrooms since childhood. Have actually been planning on doing some sort of food prep with mushrooms. Maybe I should😀. Thanx for watching!

Good review! I am considering the Condor Kephart as a possible purchase. I have the Condor Hudson Bay and the Bushlore, and I like them both. However, since I just pulled the trigger on a Skrama 240, I better hold off on any more knives for a while. Lol.

Thank you! Oh, that Hudson Bay looks a great. Should get a Condor knife, again. Maybe some big blade. (I owned a couple years back, but sold them aw ay. Not that there was anything particularly wrong with them). You got the Skrama 240, Nice! Truly a monster of a blade. Thanx for watching, have a great day!🌲🔪🌲

@@OldForestBushcraft Condor definitely can be hit or miss. I have heard people complain about their quality control, but my experience has been positive.

Wow, cool video! Im always impressed by people who can point out a mushroom and tell me the name etc. Very cool. That knofe is a little beauty too. I have an LT Wrifht Genesis which I think is a similar design, bur that looks smaller and maybe a little handier to me? I kove the look of that handle. I tend towards micarta but that is just so nice. Thanks for sharing!

Thanx a lot! Havent used this knife for almost a year, and forgot how much I actually like it. It has started to grown on me. Light, nimble, slicy, yet can take the beating. The Genesis by Lt Wright is on my neverending shopping list for new knives. Looks to be a very nice blade. Thanx for watcing!

To the point of mushroom knowledge, Im a total rookie compared to my late father who collected loads of different species, and from whom I learned a lot. And specially to my father-in-law, who won like the second place in Finnish mushroom recognition competion (yes, thats a thing😅). I very often ask his advice.
