Great reaction and comments!!! Haruna (the drummer) is only 145 cm (4 '9") tall and she uses an Economy of Motion technique. Her nicknames are “The pocket nuclear reactor” and “Little Big Engine” because she can perform at an up tempo pace for almost the entire length of Lovebites concert, which can last over 2 hrs: the power, speed and stamina of Haruna are unbeatable and she never misses a note!! She said this during an interview: “I am trained physically, but when I play on stage I tend to relax. If I try to play forcefully, I'll be exhausted quickly. That's why I'm singing along most of the time. Trying not to concentrate too much.” And, she is the cutest drummer in the universe!!!

Asami's voice was extra powerful and The drumming was stellar

Absolutely!!!

Not only did Asami study ballet but she was an R&B/soul singer before joining Lovebites and didn't know much about metal. Next year they are finally coming to America for the ProgPower USA concert in Atlanta, GA but I think the night they are playing is already sold out. Hopefully, they play more shows in the US next year.

With the world in pandemic mode, Japan has been on lockdown since Spring 2020, and all various events have been canceled. I love Miyako's reserved, conservative stage presence, as it perfectly complements Midori's more extraverted style.

Miyako the quiet one is far and away the most talented of the band , she writes and composed most of the bands music , she even wrote the bass lines for this song and album !

Miyako here is playing a Gibson Les Paul! She has a lot of Gibson's, LesPaul's, Flying V's, Futura ,Explorer.

I'm not sure what happened to the audio, but it seems to have been converted from stereo to mono, which significantly decreases the listening experience. I am dedicated fan of LOVEBITES and sincerely enjoy your 'reactions' to them, your commentary, your bringing in friends & family to share them with and other peculiarities of your expressiveness. I will include that I also appreciate your original music which I consider possibly the best music by any band on u2b I have encountered who reacts-to and enjoys LOVEBITES! However, as musicians yourselves, with recordings that you promote & publish I think you might be at least 'disappointed' if your meticulously crafted music/mix is presented in a drastically altered form. This is what I hear with LOVEBITES music when I watch your reaction. LOVEBITES, from their very first EP and throughout have sent all their 'raw' tracks to FinnVox in Finland to be mixed & mastered in a particular way, with LIVE being possibly the best LIVE mix I have heard in 6+ decades of attention to such, & LIVE always being my preference in music. Guitars panned to channel matching side of stage where their amps are located. Bass & vocals centered. Drums delightfully 'spread' across the stereo spectrum as seen facing the stage, giving clarity to Haruna's unique use of quick-decay 'harmonically-pitched' splash, crash & 'china' cymbals to frequently mimic/support chords & vocal melody, while using her dbl-kicks quite imaginatively with relentless precision. I realize it may be a bit of 'tech work' to retain their exact 'mix' on your video, but 90+% of 'reactors' manage it. Also (more 'tech work') listening with headphones will reveal a whole new level of detail in what you hear, and thereby, what you may find yourselves appreciating & commenting about! Personally, from Spring 2020 when I discovered them, it was not until a month or so later when I donned headphones that my understanding & appreciation escalated immensely, and continues to be maintained with each new release from them. If at some point you are 'ready' for a more extensive LIVE experience, I suggest 3 segued/consecutive songs following 12 others & 80min of performing in their 2021 setlist, all written by former bassist Miho. Japan and women in metal dates back to 1981 with Show YA! For the newbies this band was voted best new metal band in 2013. Oh and Miyuako has her own mini zoo.

I'm with you that I hope power metal becomes mainstream / popular. Really enjoy it along with speed and thrash metal. Lovebites is definitely the band capable of doing it, especially with their world tour this year. If there is ever a song that I think would be the clincher, it is by far Soldier Stands Solitarily kzread.info/dash/bejne/nJmAmKiBgZOXhpc.htmlsi=xvV0tPnfygfZRuwo. It's the last song on the Judgement Day album, composed by the musical genius Miyako (guitarist / pianist). Her song writing skills are absolutely terrifying in a jaw-dropping, wonderful way. Not many metal shredders write songs from a classical music perspective. This song just begs for new music from them. To think she wrote SSS in 2021 and it didn't make the cut for their 5-song EP Glory, Glory To The World is insane. I'm 51, from Boston, MA and have listened to metal since my teen years. SSS is my favorite song period, EVER. It is such a powerful song across the board - vocals / instrumentals, I wouldn't even classify it as power metal, maybe power thrash speed metal in one. It leaves me speechless every time and they play it live...OMFG. The version I provided is from their fan livestream event for the release of their Judgement Day album earlier this year. Quite the contract to see the 5 of them sitting there joking around, looking like they're about to get their nails done, meanwhile, the song is absolutely ripping your face off! 🤣 Hope you'll consider reacting to it sometime. Nice that you are spreading the info regarding female Japanese metal and rock. Its impressive. The Death Metal female bands is an exaggeration though. Should that be Hanabie or Nemophila? Mayo in Nemophila is more screaming than growling. Yukina in Hanabie has some low growling though. But she is too cute for Death Metal :) Anyhow, the female Japanese metal and rock scene in Japan is well worth taking a look at.

You know they do sing in English right it's live so you might not be able to try and see if there's a close caption

That was my philosophy. Seems like most people like what we do. The exception for me is when I watch people react to movies or video game trailers, I prefer to see the larger image of the footage from game.

They are a brilliant tight band and Fami the bassist had a huge KZread following prior to joining the band, sadly I found the audio on this clip to be really off, not the bands fault maybe the mixing or the process of being rendered down for KZread but I’ve heard much better audio on their music

Lovebites is my favorite band and I'll get crucified for saying this but I like the studio version better than live on this song. I like the harmonies of the chorus by the ladies on the studio version. This one Asami's vocals drown out the harmonies of the band. The mix for this one isn't as good ether. Midori better have a great body being in Miss fitness competitions. I have seen a couple videos of them live wearing all black dresses. This one has a Haruna drum solo and Miyako's guitar solo is nor drowned out as much or maybe it's your poor audio quality (kzread.info/dash/bejne/lW182c2paNm5n5M.html)
