Thank you for sharing your nest box design, very interesting. I will make my lovebird nest box similar to your design with square, not L-shaped side (E) panels, the top (F) panel will cover the top, and a hinged access panel (C). this nest box will have a porch.

I wouldn’t of had the hole that way though because you need a bit of mesh so the bird come down carefully

Budgies would but my budgie box design is best for that and this one is to small for cockatiels.

I was trying to keep the plans on one A4 sheet but I have been thinking about redoing the them with more details. The L is 230mm x 230mm with a cut out of 130mm x 88mm. I hope that helps.

why does no one give the sizes of the wood. all good showing me how its made i know that . i need the sizes or is it as we want the size

I say it is a bad design. When you want to see inside the nest, the hen will try to get out of the nest and the first thing the hen will see is your face because the hole is facing the top cover of the box. Scary for the 🐦 bird.
