I have a coworker that at times it seems she goes out of her way to be rude and mean to me. I was just talking to my wife this morning about the situation and no less than five minutes later I find this video. I so love how when my heart and my head want to do one thing and say certain things and treat people certain way, but the Holy Spirit teaches me what is right, what is judged, what is pure. Dearest God, I thank you for allowing us, your children, to come to you in prayer. Thank you for bringing us into a new year safe, alive, and in our rights minds. Lord the world is straying away from you, they're taking Christ out of Christmas, and filling their New Years resolutions list with worldly things but all they really is You. All they need is Jesus, God. And I ask that you help us, your servants, show them that. I wasn't treated particularly well in high school, one mistake which I made was to ignore or to try to ignore them: That's better than revenge but I lost a lot of potential to pray for them and recite a blessing over them, I encourage everyone to never waste the opportunities I was given like I did.

I learned this before. It is not my duty to hate someone who did this to me, but indeed for me to love them. I love my parents, my grandparents no matter what right? So why not share that love for those who need it? Such as your enemies.

Hurricane5 I would not say that I have enemies. Some people don’t like Me but I just go about living my own life. I guess I could say That I had enemies as a kid, but I just went about living my Life then too.

So much of this teaching is needed. It is the foundation of Christianity. So said that it is not a common principle in the vast majority of Christians especially when God is SO clear on this principle through Jesus' life. A desire for truth can only lead to this one conclusion. And this is a hard conclusion to accept, it was for me 15 years ago and still is. I have a natural attitude for revenge and retaliation. I'm thankful God blessed me with His message through my parents.

I rewinded John asking the third question like 5 times 😂 I don’t want to just do what’s right outwardly. I want a heart change. I want it just be my nature. I’m 24, and I’ve gave my life to Jesus when I was 22. There’s been ups and downs, but he’s been growing me and showing his goodness and glory to me in ways that are just mind blowing.... it’s gotten to the point where I can’t help help but notice my prideful nature, and I can’t stand it. I love him, and I really don’t like that there are things in my character (like how my flesh craves praise and honor, and recognition) that I know are unpleasing to him.... but he keeps showing me his goodness... And then I realize he knew all these ways in me were already there when I first gave myself to him, and he reached right into my mess, not caring how my dirt would get on his hands and pulled me out and started cleaning me up for a deeper relationship and communion with him... Anyway, he’s been ministering to me about it, so I know now it’s only a matter of time before I truly grasp ahold of letting that go. But man, I want to be able to show love to any and everybody without there being any perverse intentions. I want to lay myself down for others not because I know I should... but because it’s who I am. I want to be a pleasing aroma unto Jesus. A humble and acceptable sacrifice. Help me Lord.

You must deny yourself to follow Jesus. It’s only naturally to hate your enemies, it is our nature. But to follow Christ, to taste the living water that never runs dry, you must be born again into his family, to allow him to melt your heart of stone and give you a new heart, to allow him to transform you and give you new purpose not looking at this flat and temporary material world but with your eyes on Heaven which is eternal and to know that God’s grace, mercy, patience, kindness, and love is vast enough and wide enough to cover and forgive all your inequities and sins of the past, present, and future. Denying yourself and living for God is the way of those who truly know the Jesus. Amen.

An enemy can be someone who you’d consider to be your friend but inwardly they don’t have your best interests at heart. They may be your “friend” but get you to feel or do things which cause you to stumble from the Christian faith! I pray anyone reading this will be freed from such people!

I have family members who I used to be close to who now appear to hate me and want nothing to do with me. Out of pure love I tell my grandmother to give them my love, to tell them that I'm still here for them when they need me. They may resent me for it, they may even curse my name, but I have faith that when the day is done the only thing left standing will be my genuine love for these lost and bothered individuals. If it were not for my Lord Yeshua, I may never have come into this mode of being in the first place and have found the love for my enemies within myself. Thank you, Yeshua, for this love you have born within me. Amen.

That was the best explanation of those scriptures I have ever heard. I do these things mostly but its very hard and frustrating. Loving your enemies is hard but if you can put yourself in their shoes for a few minutes and try to understand them it will help you to love them and see their point of view. You never know what someone else has been thru.

I feel sorry for anyone who opposes to be my enemy,,I've done nothing to be hated. It's hard to be accepting of such people but that's life🙏

Asking out of genuine need. Asking out of selfishness? Asking out of greed, out of resentment? Covetousness?

This is hard, but what I understood was that you must love your enemies even to the point that you have to say no to them so that you may pursue and see the good in them.
