I have a gsd that does the same thing when I'm washing him. He's unusually calm, it actually scares me because I'm used to my dogs fighting the bath, trim, etc.

Husky: *howling for the whole time* Sevy: IT'S SPA DAY!

I lost it as soon as his tongue lolled to the side. He was so freaking happy. What a big love bug.

My labradane loki was the same way. He was a rescue at the age of maybe 1 year old and I'm pretty sure when I took him to the groomer it was his first and he rested his chin and big noggin on the groomers shoulder whenever he could. Hes the sweetest

You should see Kuma the American Akita. He loves the blow dryer to the point of kicking his leg.

The way he went cross-eyed and his tongue lolled out. Such a well-behaved boy.

I love big horsedogs that are so calm about everything you can soak them in water and they're like "oh. i guess this is what we're doing. alright human go ahead and do your thing" It reminds me of like, a big burly dad letting his little daughter put a tiara on him and babble about princesses. It's very cute!

This dog...is...perfect. He trusts you completely. Amazing! Edit: how he enjoys the blowdryer is so damn cute.

His eyes were drooping when he was getting blow dried. He was feeling so relaxed! What a good boy.

He looks so comfortable, relaxed and happy all the time. This really is the goodest of boys!

I took care of a Pyrenees for years. They love being groomed. He would spend his days patrolling the property, protecting the cats and digging a big hole to sleep in when it was hot. Truely a gentle giant as they are known for.

It should be required viewing for all Huskies as to how to behave during a grooming session - especially the blow dryer part 😁

Great job, Vanessa! He is gorgeous! I just love how he tilted his head into the dryer as if to say, "Oh yeah, that's the spot, right there!"

He looks so blissed out when he tilts his head at a 45 degree angle.

What a good boy! His humans have done an amazing job desensitizing him all all sorts of things. And the face he makes with the blow dryer, "Oh yeah. Oh right there. Yes that's the spot!" Made me smile.

I've never seen a happier, more well behaved dog being groomed before. A groomer's dream, I imagine!

We've evolved together for hundreds of thousands of years. They have evolved to emote in ways we can read, and we have evolved to read their emotes. It is thought dogs evolved eye whites so that their eyes would look more human. The eyebrows are definitely a human thing. It's very cool!

What a big, beautiful, well-behaved boy! True story: our back-fence neighbors have a Great Pyrenees. They also have chickens. Not only does Nootka (the dog) try to herd the chickens, she's also figured out which ones are hens. She'll sneak up behind a hen and then bark as loudly as she can. Often the hen is startled enough that she'll pop out an egg right there and then, and Nootka will eat the egg. I guess she's decided that the hens are her own personal vending machines... 😂

In all the videos that I have watched of you, which is a lot. I have never seen a dog be so quiet and nice. Great work as always.

Sevy should be in commercials, movies, or TV. He is so adorably derpy with his tongue hanging out and is just so lovable💙

Favorite part: Immediately walks up to the cameraman, concerned that he might miss the opportunity for another new friend.

This has to be one of the most beautiful dogs ever featured on this channel.

He looks very happy after the groom. I wonder if he felt a lot cooler and better after the undercoat and long hair were lighted/ trimmed off. He definitely looked happy starting from halfway through the session (only the paws weren't his thing)!

You certainly know to hit the sweet (itchy) spots with the blow dryer! Top of the hip: 1:46 and 2:34 Top of the shoulder blade: 2:09 Spina scapula: 2:17 and 2:47 Sternum: 2:22 And of course the occipital bone: 3:13 Also the little "nope" at 1:58

This breed is one of my favorites 😍 fluffy wholesome hardworking guardians with that family friendly vibe. My luna will scare the pants right off most people who she's never met in my yard but if she knows you just ready to lay in your lap for all the pets. When trained properly these dogs are amazing! Not for a first time pet owner though lol they are stubborn and love to bark :)

The dryer loves the dogs too

This is such an important thing, getting dogs socialised to where they can groom and not have anxiety. The earlier, the better. We failed in doing this for our massive German shepherd so whenever we had to bath/groom him, it was a tremendous ordeal. Eventually he got used to it but I think thing could have been much simpler if we had just started when he was a puppy and got him used to it. In the early days, we got more of the bathing than he did but then he gradually settled down. So as Vanessa says, it's IMPORTANT to get dogs used to this as early as possible.

And not just for the owner's convienence! Would you rather have a dog who's afraid and agitated, or a dog who can luxuriate in the attention and knowledge that his packmates care enough about him to have him specially groomed?

Unfortunately I get all my dogs second -third or nth hand so...not possible but my oldie would just flop in the bathtub, I sat with him and we just both got groomed together, although he always ended up flooffy and smelling nice and me -smelling like wet dog with fur stuck in my mouth,eyes,ears and in unmentionable places despite being dressed fully 😂

This is very true. I got my husky border collie puppy a month before covid shut everything down. Socializing him was pretty much impossible, no one would get near anyone else so he just grew up seeing people walk away all the time. He is OK with my friends that he knows but with new people or dogs he's hard to handle. And since I moved strangers give him more attention and he's getting better but still, he's a bit of a nut. I'm dreading going to the vet tomorrow actually.

Not that I don't love hearing your information, I do, but this bit of ASMR was wonderful. Sevy's sweet face, head tilts and happy times with the blow dryer were so cute. He is adorable.

Mine was like that too; but he was also scared of his own shadow 😅😂 He was the only dog I ever allowed to climb on the sofa, because he literally wanted proximity, and was calm like furniture when he had it. I have a little lab puppy now, veeeery different game let me tell ya 😆

Never owned one but my friends 3 year old BMD is such a well behaved (most of the time) and gentle breed. He will just come up to you while your on the couch and sit on your lap. Still thinks he’s a puppy lol.

What a beautiful temperament. Such a chilled, no drama boy. If he were mine I would spend all day cuddling him.

This dog reminds me so much of our dearly-departed Bear. Bear was a 140-pound Pyrenees/German Shepherd/Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. He had the sheer size and power of a Pyrenees, the slick fluffy coat of a German Shepherd, and a coloration halfway between GSD and Coonhound (lots of black/white/beige). He was just the best dog ever. He loved EVERYONE. I've never seen a dog that was so loving of strangers and so unbothered by anything and everything. We lost him to cancer before he turned eight, sadly. This fluffy boi has the same smile and aura of "love me" that Bear did. Love Pyrs and Pyr mixes.
