No matter how often I visit your channel I never fail to be AMAZED that you are able to walk into a Lion enclosure and be greeted as one of The Pride. It's a truly awe-inspiring thing to see!!!!

Bobcat's love for Kevin surpasses his need to feed. The most badass lion in the sanctuary with unrelenting loyalty.

My favorite part was when Bobcat running to Kev..he was like " Oh my daddy, my daddy has come back!" (But unfortunately food truck came he suddenly ignored Kevin😝)

Walking into a lion enclosure with hungry lions.... On feeding day.... And all Kevin worries about is that his welcome back greeting is cut short! Lovely video, my day is much better and a cheery way to end the work week!

Hearing the lions are hungry and about to eat definitely increased the stress level in me. Kevin on the other hand was unfazed. That's some confidence.

I find myself smiling all the way through these lion videos - they are just so magnificent, as are you Kevin. Without you the animals would not be complete, as they are. I love them.

Guessing Siam spreads his claws like a domestic cat "kneading" due to contentment. Seeing you again is very happy you're back as they all are.

At 4:12 I hope Kevin realizes what a beautiful image this specific moment is (2 cats rolling out of contentment few inches away from) : for him, the cats, the audience & eternity. Who has close ups of gorgeous beyond happy majestic cats, except him? What a gift to my eyes !

@@mikemckenzie3175 i used to have video footage of what was believed to be a black panther of some sort years ago, but it was questionable, shaky footage, and not a good enough camera, and the thing was so elusive. Most ppl didn't believe me, so i didn't keep the footage in safe keeping. Lost forever. I saw it a little closer up before hand before we went and got the camera, and went back it was still walking down the same road. i know what i saw. In Mississippi walking parallel with the Mississippi River. We showed co-workers the footage, and they laughed at us, and not even a week later it is in the local paper spotted near someones backyard, lol. you can't make this shit up man. The kings of hide and go seek. I bet once it experience enough attention, it disappeared from sight. i was in the passenger seat when i first saw it, down this gravel road i saw a glance of it sticking it's head out of the side of the bushes and trees along the road, and i turned and asked, my friend driving did he see that? He didn't. But sure enough, on the way back down the road it was trotting along, keeping it's distance then out of sight. Lucky it was there, after we went back later that day with a camera. i was shaking in awe, sucks i didn't get better footage.

Hahaha! Big Lions afraid of the citronella bottle in Kevin's hand, moving backwards. Then afraid of what he had in his hand--cat nip. Finally, ahhhhh they were loving the smell of the citronella spray and cat nip! That Lion paw looked so huge against Kevin. I'm glad that Kevin got home from his South America trip safely. I'm happy to see all the different Lions.

You know Kevin is a member of the pack when he can safely wait for the food truck to arrive among a pack of hungry lions.

Love homecoming videos. My two cats greet me like this. Even if I am gone for a short while. They know the sound of my foot steps walking up the stairs. I live in upper apartment. They greet me at the door.

My husky is like Bongani and Suja, always loves to cuddle.

Lovely to see. I just wondered about the two females growing manes and then losing them. That was something I hadn't heard of before.

Amazing how after not seein you for a good while they still recognize you as one of there own and straight away show you love , amazing to see .

Been folowing this channel for a while now, at least a couple of years, and still amazes me to see those giant animals, compared to a human, acting like that. Animals are awesome! PD.: Friendly reminder, while seen this its easy to think "I could do this", Kevin practically raised these animals, he knows them, he knows how to deal with them and knows the risks of doing so. Please dont try this at home, you will get hurt or worse.

This may be one of my favorite videos. To see them all in a row and all of their personalities, is amazing. It’s absolutely unbelievable to see how you can go to each and are accepted as one of their own. To see them submissive like a house cat, wow!

I really hate the word "submissive" especially when it's about animals, I personally don't think that animals feeling affection and showing what we call kindness and acceptance for their human has anything to do with being submissive. Why should they try to dominate the human they are attached to? People and animals who share a loving bond are simply comfortable around each other, no need for any display of dominance or submissiveness where there's trust and affection involved.

That's an amazing interaction, I love to see the close-up of their fur and mane. I don't think humans were ever meant to be so close to such an animal! It's like looking at the surface of the moon. I have dogs about 50lbs and they can nearly knock me down, even stepping on my toes it hurts like a horse, I can't imagine the power of a lion.

Just can't get enough hugs or head bumps. The affection you receive when you return from your trips never gets old and I love seeing it time and time again. That is of course if it's not feeding time! It doesn't matter if you are with Bongani, Siam, Thor or Charlie's group, they are all big and beautiful so bring on Part 2. Great to see you safely back at the Sanctuary, love and blessings to you Kev and the team.

Thank you so much for answering me. I’m sitting here crying my eyes out for Livy, Agip and Kevin. Livy wasn’t that old or not as old as Meg. I wish I knew what happened, not that it would make it any easier. I’m hoping I’m dreaming and will wake up from this nightmare. I’m so sad for Kevin. 💔

@@ellarobertson1865 I know I'm like that definitely makes me cry too. I'm not sure what happened to Agip but it looks as if Livy had cancer, Kevin hasn't actually given much details but it was completely unexpected and a real shock from what I can gather. 💔

OMG Kevin, been awhile since I've dropped into the channel! I missed all the cats and can never get enough of your interaction with your lions! It is just amazing how they all treat you like family, I have NEVER seen this many lions who all love you! Too cool.

Bobcat's affection for Kevin must be immense for him to greet him over going straight to the feeding car.

The way the lions greated you is jsut more proof to me that regardless of there size, a cat is still jsut a cat!

The first time in Africa i looked directly into the eyes of a wild lion i felt a rush of calculated danger. As if the lion was thinking about the fastest way to get to his prey (me). The first roar i heard of a lion gave me the chills, my instincts told me to back off and find safety even with an steel fence between us. Lions are to be taken seriously and yet there is one guy in the world who enters his/her domain, causualy sprays lions with a plantsprayer and explains the emotional status of the sprayed lion in detail. This causualy and peacefull video only amplifies my respect to you and your cause Richard!

Bongani looks well for an old boy. Bit of that leaness that reflects thinner muscle and a bit of backbone because old age, just like humans. Love Siam's name, used to live in Siam. Love the head rub, when a cat head buts, one knows that one has cracked the barrier between human and feline, but food first! Got to keep body and soul together.

This was so nice to watch. The markings, the headbumps, the scraps ... I especially liked the size of the claws in relation to you (people usually compare claws with their hands, but people can have such different sized hands it's hard to use it for comparison). And Suja! Suja is such a perfect cat

Kevin, you truly have a special gift and a special life caring for these amazing animals are most of the resident lions, how to say , rejected in the wild and you take them and care for them ? they all look quite healthy strong.
