OMG, I can smell that lasagna all the way in Gastonia, NC. My mouth is watering. Oh, I want some lasagna so bad. It is going to be fall like this weekend and I think I might have to make some lasagna. I love your new house it is beautiful. I loved the other one too, but this one brings back so many memories of your cooking shows. I have missed you so much and I have really enjoyed watching your videos the last 2 days. I just love you so much, Paula. My mother and I used to watch you together every Saturday morning. She loved watching you too. She made alot of your desserts and other things. You are amazing. I love to cook, and the next kitchen gadget I want to purchase is a air fryer, but it will be awhile because I am on a very limited income SS does not go very far at all. Love you, and I am so glad I found you on youtube. Thank you for bringing some smiles to my day.

Adds some extra goodness in the dish. My sister makes a lasagna that she got from a friend and she used cream cheese. Made this recipe tonight but I noticed the website said 12oz of cottage cheese and she used 16 oz. I thought it looked like it was not as much. I guess I will see how it turns out. Pretty much followed to the letter but I used some Italian sausage in addition to ground beef. I also didn't have Paul Deen seasonings so I used seasoned salt instead. The sauce tasted quite good so I think that was ok. Now that I am re-watching, there are quite a few differences between website and the video here. I really think she should let it stand for 10 minutes and it would have been fine to edit the video if she didn't want the gap. I can't even imagine she could taste it straight out the oven. I could tell Eddy thought she was crazy when he refused to try the scalding hot lasagna.

Then add the last topping of cheese and stick it back in, just long enough for the cheese to melt...saves a lot of wrestling with slippery noodles.

You just have to use ricotta with beaten egg, grated cheese and chopped parsley in the layers with mozzarella and ground Italian sausage and crushed meatballs which are cooked in the sauce in each layer. Gotta cook real lasagna noodles to hold all these goodies. Yummmmmmmmmy. Love ya Paula 💝💝💝💝💝💝

I live in the UK and we don't use cottage or ricotta cheese, or put eggs in it. The meat ragu and lasagne sheets are layered with bechamel sauce, and then on the top I just sprinkle grated parmesan cheese. This is more the Italian way of making it.

I went to Publix today (30 miles away) to buy those Rama lasagna noodles because my daughter requested lasagna for her birthday supper tonight. When I got home from the grocery store, they had not put the noodles in with my groceries. I went through every bag several times thinking I had just overlooked them but NO!!! I had a box of the dried lasagna noodles so I boiled them. Oh well, maybe next time. I’m telling y’all this so y’all will make sure you have your noodles before you leave the store. And yes, we all make mistakes. Publix included. I am just happy they sell the refrigerator noodles. I loved all the comments and this recipe.

Instead of leaving the grease in the meat, I drain it off and put it back in the pot on HIGH heat and let it char a bit. It makes the most wonderful flavor and the smell is fabulous too.

There are as many recipes for lasagna as there are for any popular dish. Lasagna was probably the first big thing I ever made and the recipe I used asked for cottage cheese so I get that. I draw the line on cheddar, swiss and cream, that's just to American for me. Mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta and perhaps fontina and provolone but the latter of those 2 I don't think I've ever used.

And I am so happy to say my wife and mother in-law have the same passion. We play off each other. This weekend, she worked on the sauce for the last 2 days (100% Italian lady.. I love her) . Tonight I am putting it into a Lasagna. Sorry, that was a little bit of ramble, but I think you get it. God bless you.

I’m kinda frustrated...the printed recipe varies quite a bit from this video. It lists some specific ingredients like Paula Deen’s Seasoning Salt and Paula Deen’s House Seasoning. I looked all over the internet to see if it can be purchased but had no luck. This video is only 3 weeks old! I found two different recipes for the house seasoning but nothing for seasoned salt. Any clues or suggestions? Also, the Rana pasta sheets aren’t available anywhere near me. 🙄
