Not to spoil it for you but I have alarm bells ringing here. If you have converted or are going to convert then please reconsider marriage to your guy. If he got into a haram relationship and with a non-Muslim girl on top of that, he is likely not very practising. This will lead to problems in the future as you draw closer to Allah and lack the support of your husband in your deen. It happens to converts all the time so please be cautious. And if my description is accurate, yet you still get married, be married for a while before you decide to have children. Again I really don't want to be a buzzkill, just trying to prevent you from possible misery in the future inshaAllah. I wish you all the best in this dunya and the akhirah. Ameen

I totally agree, you always need this as a reminder in your head, that you want the hereafter more than the girl. But I believe it is harder in certain areas in the world. Personally I live in NYC and this is a huge challenge, because the women here aren't modest at all. Modesty doesn't exist anymore. So when you go out, it's literally a sexual war inside of you (at least that's how it is for me, maybe I'm just lustful). Sometimes I'll see a girl, and at the start I'd be like no way you can't talk to her. Then I get these ideas, like he mentioned, just get her number you don't need to do anything, just talk to her you don't even know what she's like, hey you never know she might be the one. Sometimes the arguments I come up are so good, but thank Allah so far I've always been able to fight it even when approached. For those in similar circumstances as me, you really shouldn't take this lightly. Yes it's hard, but as you keep doing it you will get stronger at it.

I just broke up with my boyfriend I know it’s haram that’s why I broke up with him....everything was getting too toxic for me I fell into major depression and my parents also do not like him one bit and tried making my life hell. I let him go because I need to fix myself up before I even jump into a marriage with him or anyone else because it isn’t fair for anyone to have this baggage in me internally and I have to fix them. I don’t know if i did the right thing guys....please..I just let him go because since I’m not gonna marry him at this point in my life because I feel like I’m not ready so I don’t want haram going on anymore because it’s not fair for any of us. I just pray Allah brings us back together when it’s meant to be. Maybe we weren’t meant to be at this point in our lives because im at a point in my life right now where marriage isn’t the answer for me rn and I don’t even have the support of my parents behind me if I even marry him..... Did I make the right choice guys? I don’t know I just let everything upto allah and I’m going to get help with counselling

I think it’s best right now I focus on myself even though I still love him and everything I don’t think jumping into marriage is the right choice right now because it’s been getting really toxic between my family, him and me. sanerz Salam sister. You made the absolute best decision for you and your akhira. I know that it’s hard especially when you love that person but remember that your choosing the love and fear for Allah before the love for his creation. If you would have died tomorrow that man that you love would not come with you in the grave, you would be there alone and with the sin of a haram relationship. You saved yourself and that man, sis wallahi you did him a huge favor. Focus on yourself, grow your imaan, rebuild your relationship with your parents (they are your ticket to jannah) And while doing these things pray, pray, pray that Allah blesses you with a marriage full of barakah, kheyr and love whether it’s with that person or someone else. Also remember that Allah knows best, you may think that this guy is the best and suits you perfectly but we quickly forget that we know nothing wallahi. Everything is already written, do your best in improving yourself always and leave the rest to the absolute best, Our Creator. and my sister he wasn't right in the first place trust me, women are innocent but if you knew what men think generally speaking you wouldn't want to even be close with them. Your boyfriend most likely just wanted to sleep with you my sister, if he truly loved you he would've asked your father for your hand for marriage. Quran Chapter 4 Verse 171 O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs. Quran Chapter 5 116. And God will say, “O Jesus son of Mary, did you say to the people, `Take me and my mother as gods rather than God?'“ He will say, “Glory be to You! It is not for me to say what I have no right to. Had I said it, You would have known it. You know what is in my soul, and I do not know what is in Your soul. You are the Knower of the hidden. 117. I only told them what You commanded me: that you shall worship God, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them while I was among them; but when You took me to Yourself, You became the Watcher over them-You are Witness over everything. Quran Chapter 3 45. The Angels said, “O Mary, God gives you good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, well-esteemed in this world and the next, and one of the nearest. 46. He will speak to the people from the crib, and in adulthood, and will be one of the righteous.” 47. She said, “My Lord, how can I have a child, when no man has touched me?” He said, “It will be so. God creates whatever He wills. To have anything done, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.” 48. And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel. 49. A messenger to the Children of Israel: “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you out of clay the figure of a bird; then I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by God’s leave. And I heal the blind and the leprous, and I revive the dead, by God’s leave. And I inform you concerning what you eat, and what you store in your homes. In that is a sign for you, if you are believers.” 50. “And verifying what lies before me of the Torah, and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord; so fear God, and obey me.” 51. “God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.” 52. When Jesus sensed disbelief on their part, he said, “Who are my allies towards God?” The disciples said, “We are God’s allies; we have believed in God, and bear witness that we submit.” 53. “Our Lord, we have believed in what You have revealed, and we have followed the Messenger, so count us among the witnesses.” 54. They planned, and God planned; but God is the Best of planners. 55. God said, “O Jesus, I am terminating your life, and raising you to Me, and clearing you of those who disbelieve. And I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve, until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return; then I will judge between you regarding what you were disputing. 56. As for those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe punishment, in this world and the next, and they will have no helpers. 57. And as for those who believe and do good works, He will give them their rewards in full. God does not love the unjust.” 58. This is what We recite to you of the Verses and the Wise Reminder. 59. The likeness of Jesus in God’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be,” and he was. 60. The truth is from your Lord, so do not be of those who doubt. 61. And if anyone disputes with you about him, after the knowledge that has come to you, say, “Come, let us call our children and your children, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, and let us invoke God’s curse on the liars.” 62. This is the narrative of truth: there is no god but God. God is the Mighty, the Wise. 63. But if they turn away-God knows the corrupt. 64. Say, “O People of the Book, come to terms common between us and you: that we worship none but God, and that we associate nothing with Him, and that none of us takes others as lords besides God.” And if they turn away, say, “Bear witness that we have submitted.” Quran Chapter 19 In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. 1. Kaf, Ha, Ya, Ayn, Saad. 2. A mention of the mercy of your Lord towards His servant Zechariah. 3. When he called on his Lord, a call in seclusion. 4. He said, “My Lord, my bones have become feeble, and my hair is aflame with gray, and never, Lord, have I been disappointed in my prayer to you. 5. “And I fear for my dependents after me, and my wife is barren. So grant me, from Yourself, an heir. 6. To inherit me, and inherit from the House of Jacob, and make him, my Lord, pleasing.” 7. “O Zechariah, We give you good news of a son, whose name is John, a name We have never given before.” 8. He said, “My Lord, how can I have a son, when my wife is barren, and I have become decrepit with old age?” 9. He said, “It will be so, your Lord says, ‘it is easy for me, and I created you before, when you were nothing.’” 10. He said, “My Lord, give me a sign.” He said, “Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights straight.” 11. And he came out to his people, from the sanctuary, and signaled to them to praise morning and evening. 12. “O John, hold on to the Scripture firmly,” and We gave him wisdom in his youth. 13. And tenderness from Us, and innocence. He was devout. 14. And kind to his parents; and he was not a disobedient tyrant. 15. And peace be upon him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the Day he is raised alive. 16. And mention in the Scripture Mary, when she withdrew from her people to an eastern location. 17. She screened herself away from them, and We sent to her Our spirit, and He appeared to her as an immaculate human. 18. She said, “I take refuge from you in the Most Merciful, should you be righteous.” 19. He said, “I am only the messenger of your Lord, to give you the gift of a pure son.” 20. She said, “How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, and I was never unchaste?” 21. He said, “Thus said your Lord, `It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign for humanity, and a mercy from Us. It is a matter already decided.'“ 22. So she carried him, and secluded herself with him in a remote place. 23. The labor-pains came upon her, by the trunk of a palm-tree. She said, “I wish I had died before this, and been completely forgotten.” 24. Whereupon he called her from beneath her: “Do not worry; your Lord has placed a stream beneath you. 25. And shake the trunk of the palm-tree towards you, and it will drop ripe dates by you.” 26. “So eat, and drink, and be consoled. And if you see any human, say, ‘I have vowed a fast to the Most Gracious, so I will not speak to any human today.'“ 27. Then she came to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have done something terrible. 28. O sister of Aaron, your father was not an evil man, and your mother was not a whore.” 29. So she pointed to him. They said, “How can we speak to an infant in the crib?” 30. He said, “I am the servant of God. He has given me the Scripture, and made me a prophet. 31. And has made me blessed wherever I may be; and has enjoined on me prayer and charity, so long as I live. 32. And kind to my mother, and He did not make me a disobedient rebel. 33. So Peace is upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the Day I get resurrected alive.” 34. That is Jesus son of Mary-the Word of truth about which they doubt. 35. It is not for God to have a child-glory be to Him. To have anything done, He says to it, “Be,” and it becomes. 36. “God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.” 37. But the various factions differed among themselves. So woe to those who disbelieve from the scene of a tremendous Day. 38. Listen to them and watch for them the Day they come to Us. But the wrongdoers today are completely lost. 39. And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded. Yet they are heedless, and they do not believe.”

I was involved in a haram relationship for almost 2 years thinking it will be halal one day. I ended up asking him back in November if he has feelings for me. He told me he didn’t have feelings for me. I ended everything. I try to forget him everyday. I do tahajjud and it’s still so hard for me to forget him. I make dua for him still. But it’s so hard to let go. I try every single day. I’m tired of this.

I'm in a relationship and we cannot get married for few years.. and we can't stop this forever.. but i wish to keep this halaal until our nikah... we avoid maximum meetings.. we jst chat for a little while and meets up once in a long time.. and we avoid any things like touching or other anything... is it enough for keeping our relationship halal until we get nikah??

My sister, Look into islam, try to understand islam, if you guys marry with different beliefs - this can cause problems further into the marriage example: raising the children or going through life experiences, you guys want to have similar understanding so that when problems arise you guys get help each other through tough time and good times. Pray for guidance to make it easy for you

I love this boy so much the reason why we got each other was by both of us praying for each other to Allah and finally we ended up together alhamduillah he’s so religious and he made me a better Muslim we want to get engage to make our relationship become halal (it’s long distance btw nothing haram is done )but we are only 18 same age his dad is the problem he doesn’t want me :// I pray every night for us to be together and marry fast but please pray for me I cry every night I really want him I hope his dad accepts us and let us be engaged in sha Allah pray for me ....

So here is my case .I loved my czn. We talked to each other on WhatsApp and fb. Her brother knew that he even saw our chat. AND miraculously we were engaged and both families allowed us to talk to each other .I never told her about how much i loved her before engagement because i thought that will not be ok or halal and after 1 year of engagement when both of us realize that we really like each other we told each other about our feelings . Alhamdulillah there is no haram chat between us ,we just talk about how we r gonna live after marriage what she like or what are the similarities between us or sometimes we share some of our genuine feelings about each other .Soooo is there any wrong with all that?

That’s because in the Quran Allah doesn’t restrict the opposite sex talking to each other. Allah mentions no sex before marriage, not avoid the opposite gender altogether. If both are appropriate and keeping conversations normal then you’re not doing anything haram. People go too far into this. You can’t marry someone without having knowledge on who they are, their goals, interests, desires etc

I think when young and in love it makes us naive. Sometimes though Allah protects us from people such as not getting married to them. I like a Muslim girl but of different ethnicity and language. I feel this might of been the tipping point for her. 4 years not seeing her after college I found out she got married a few months ago to a family relative. Sadly however I found out she's no good, nothing good said about her. This made me realise she isn't the girl I thought of her as and that insha Allah I will meet someone so much better and the halal way ameen

If you ended the haram relationship and ask for forgiveness but the boy don't wanna leave you like hee still thinks, i will be his one day, I am part of his life and inshAllah I will be and I also prays for him I just ended the haram things like talking to him. And even when we were in the relationship we didn't meet or touched each other. Is this right or wrong?

True love is agrace from God and its signs that it happens/activated After marrige ,God dont put something in whoever heart that serves a sin or facilates it especially if a person is religiously committed he blocks true believer hearts toward everything even emotionally thats violates Allah laws that how Allah protects believers and push them to invest in only what he please so they dont go astray or devil find a chance to enter and poisons true believers life matters. ALLAH is the best who take care of believers everything so i lee my both lifes on only him and so greatfull to whatever he meant for me .

Cut off all type of contacts with him, social media, meeting with him and being physical. Being Together means marriage in Islam, if you want to have that bf gf relationship, then it's completely haram.If you pray to Allah to marry that guy, than it's ok.

Ask anyway or you will regret it. You never know what could happen unless you try. Make istikhara first then ask secondly. If ALLAH has written it for you no one can take it away. If she rejects then ALLAH has someone better for you. Trust ALLAH & ask for guidance from ALLAH

I fell in love with a girl and I'm still young so my parents won't allow nikah I just don't think bad about her and I never touched her. Same thing with me , but am a girl lmaoo I liked him for 6 year but I never even spoke to him I can’t stop myself from thinking about him and loving and can’t ask anyone for help cos I feel ashamed , I spoke to him once in class and lied to him about something and I feel hunted now and scared that his going to find out that it’s a lie especially because I lied about my identity I wanna tell the truth but can’t . But he is not living in The same country like me, he can't come to my country until one year after... It will be haram if u exchange numbers and uk all the romantic talks and the things that are written as forbidden. But u r allowed have a chat a discussion without touching kissing and all and u let ur parents know about it. Then its halal. Then if u really want to uk that girl or boy more then get engaged so that u can have even more discussion

What if you want to marry a girl but she is not sure whether to marry or doesn’t want to marry?

Sometimes it’s not always the parents .. in my case it’s the guy.. who says he is not ‘stable’ or financially ready, or man enough to look after me. Please make dua allah protects my heart.
