Loved this movie and funny too. The acceptance of everyone at the end was beautiful. Made me think of my parents, sadly both passed now, both lived till their 90s. They were always accepted the decisions I made. I remember telling them when I was a teenager, if there were a thousand parents lined up to choose, I’d choose them. Sorry for the waffling on, the movie made me do it lol.

I read all the comments on how much people were loving this movie first, before I watched it. And I agree it's worth watching. Isn't it just sad how we don't want to disappoint the ones we love so instead we get all confused and anxious trying to think of how to please everyone. I understand this movie completely. Don't be a people pleaser...be honest with yourself first and even if it hurts the ones you love, tell them the way you really feel. Even if they don't like it. Amen ✝️ ✝️ ✝️ Pray they'll love you for who you really are.

Well - if you are a decent normal person, that might be a good way to go for all involved.. But if you are a narcissist, a psycho, a sadist or in any other way "warped in the head", things will get problematic..

That's It!

It's so funny. It was a wonderful laugh out loud movie. I love that when he is having chest pain, no one, not even the actor, remembers the aspirin! What great acting. Just fantastic to watch a movie you can't miss a moment of. No cussing, no violence, no doom or gloom. Just family being family with all its wonderful complications. Thank you, SparkTV and KZread.

I love this movie. It is so much nicer than the average love movies. I keep watching it over and over and over. I love their time in the park after the ice cream. The surprise she experienced when he gave her the first intimate kiss that she wasn’t expecting and then she wanted more with out begging for it. Very good acting! So natural and real. Wish these two were in another movie.

Nice movie to each us a lot of red flags. Run, if you face those situations in real life. 😮

I think this is my new favorite movie!!! haha I absolutely LOVE the Cast! literally every role was perfect. Sarah is beautiful and everyone was authentically funny. Plus I lived in Chicago and had a red convertible mustang so it was nostalgic seeing pieces of Chicago! My sister worked at Northwestern and I worked in Skokie.. wow. I needed this. It has been so hard to find some pleasant movies I have not seen already. I didn't even consider this one because of the title. I finally decided to read the description. It sounded like fun, and it is. I really enjoyed it.

You can blame your parents for messing you up in the way they raised you BUT at some point you become an ADULT with the freedom to choose. STAY MESSED UP OR WORK TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Fight for yourself. It’s not mom and dads fault you stay messed up

Don’t usually like rom coms but this was nice. My mum always said DONT LIE you tell one lie. You have to tell another 100 to cover the first lie. This is exactly the example

I started reading faces to catch out lies...and I watch when someone lies I think here we go how many are they going to try to get out of this lie..at least 10...😂

It is a lovely theater play adapted to a movie, it is truly a clever story. Nice acting and these two kids are great together. They have chemistry on stage and their roles are believable. I have fun watching it and it made me laugh a lot.

It's one of the best movies I've ever seen. The actors are outstanding. The cast director has done a really good job. The actors could not have been any better. They had an excellent performance. I love the actor that plays Bob, he is so good and so funny, and so handsome too :)

Really enjoyed the story and found it to be refreshing. Much needed on this rainy Saturday morning. Not your typical rich man meets ordinary girl or vice versa.

I haven’t enjoyed a movie that much in a very long time. The acting was more than superb. Part of Sarah was too marvellous & convincing. All the actors were tremendous. Cannot thank you enough. Will watch again. Bravo to all & Congratulation.

I liked his character as well. He had the courage to confront her but also bowed out graciously & had some funny lines too. He had to see it coming

Changing character, personality, temperament, insight, to fit what people expect, only happens in films/movies. It helps anyway to sooth people's dreams, when reality is not a dream possible to be lived.

One thing most people didn't acknowledge about this film that life is all about taking accountability for your own actions. It is about acknowledging your mistakes, shortcomings, flaws, imperfections, failures, and misunderstandings that we may encounter along the way. The beauty of this film is that everyone was willing to acknowledge where they were wrong, apologize, be willing to move forward, and start over with a clean slate. That is what make life beautiful and that is what make this film worth watching. Unfortunately some parents won't ever choose to respond to their adult children in this manner, and it does absolutely put a strain on the relationship. And in some cases cause the relationship to come to an end altogether.

You might like "Loving Leah," which incidentally also involves deceiving parents. Also "Twist of Faith" has a beautiful flavour of Judaism. It starts out with a murder but is a sensitve study in grief and shows the kindness of people towards strangers.

You don't lie to your parents? But the way you responded made it impossible to speak to you in an open, honest, healthy, and mature way. Then it was a way of making her feel guilt when he started saying what he said immediately thereafter. I haven't quite made it to the end just yet. But I'm not sure I agree with everyone else's take on this film. I was frustrated with her character by the way she was handling things initially. I understand why she chose to respond the way that she did though. It is a lose lose situation for everyone involved. It did end up great at the end after all. ❤❤❤

It's a shame when parents put so much pressure on Adult children that they have to resort to all those lies. It's the only part of this movie that makes it difficult to enjoy. Because this happens in real life too # sad

The lead actress is simply adorable!

*That girl shouldn't lie to her parents, she's very paranoid, she makes her own life very complicated! The mother is a funny actress! It's going to be a big shock when the parents find out everything! If you already have a partner who is not Jewish, she should have introduced him to the parents without creating so many lies. Her partner loves her, but she doesn't and what she does is very hurtful, renting an "escort" to pass off as her partner 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 Both men are in love with her, and they don't deserve a girl like her full of lies! she deserves to be left alone and they find someone who really accepts them as they are, even if they are not jewish*
