Louis Theroux is successful because he doesn't have one phoney bone in his body. He cares about his subjects and is empathetic to them. The fact that he is clever and easy on the eye, for me, is a bonus.

Probably about 8 years ago I watched Louis interview families with autism. I saw how medication suppressed a young boys vitality for the purpose of control. It profoundly influenced my own coming to terms with my autistic son. We are drug free. We found Asperger's Experts and learned deep listening. And through Danny we found Holly Bridges here in Australia. His piece set the course of my son's life.

Maybe upload it yourself with the missing clips rather than put down others efforts. Just a thought

If they did, his connections to people in power, and the force of his public persona meant that you would not have been believed. He was protected by hus image and his ability to destroy your life and/or career if you tried to bring him down.

A television festival that didn't get permission, you mean you didn't pay the copyright? It looks so unprofessional and the fact you filmed it and then didn't run through with the presenter to run through what happened in the clips at the very least.

A frustrating watch. None of the clips were licensed, which is kind of ironic for a festival about TV production. And the interviewer doesn't bring the best out of Louis, far too many attempts to get 'gotcha' moments and surprise him with ungenerous interviewing (like playing the Ruby Wax clip he hadn't heard before, badgering him about the name of his new indie), it comes off as trashy

That is the disease of copyright, a totally flawed, nonsensical, anti-knowledge, counter-productive, monopoly protecting concept and the interviewer was quite useless, no imagination or insightful questions.

You can't blame him for overcompensating, maybe, given his history. I mean imagine if a friend of yours was outed, you would want everyone to know what side you were on; you would want to make it VERY CLEAR that you weren't an apologist or anything like that.
