Look up the 2nd gen manifold swap 4th gens. They sound amazing. The 6.7s sound pretty good too normally but the VGT strangulates a lot of the turbo sounds.

I am glad you enjoyed it! That was what I was trying to do. I had a terrible time finding good videos of a 5" exhaust on KZread, so I just prayed for the best and figured I would put a little effort into one when mine was done. Beautiful truck! Mine looks very similar except I have a short bed. Wish I had the 8’! I went with a 4” and no muffler and it is still loud and clear Cummins beauty!

Glad someone else got a LB! They look really good with a nice lift kit. 2-3” is perfect. I’ve been waiting for mine, but I need to rebuild the whole front end! 180k on mine

Nicest crew cab longbed ive seen and great video. I ordered a new 2017 tradesman cclb cummins got a smoking deal on it and now that its completed and ready to pick up im gettin cold feet about spending $39grand on a new truck, but this truck vid makes me want to send the check and just buy the one i put a deposit down on. Gorgeous rig man i think you just pushed me over the edge and might buy mine now lol i dont wanna lose my $500 deposit. The dealers buggin me to come buy its sittin on his lot now haha

Simple is better. No crazy 10 inch tip, or stacks that touch the sky. No crazy 12 inch lift. Best looking truck and my favorite that I've seen on the internet. You my friend have taste on what a badass truck looks like

Man I've had some bad experience with T&K out of Great Falls MT, just hope they tune that truck properly.

Thank you! On a good day? 21 MPG but Ill get 19-19.5 on the 70mph highway and 18-19 on our 80mph interstates!

I hope it treats you well! Its a bummer no other manufacturer still offers a M/T. You wont be disappointed with your RAM!

I completely understand the reason for the deletes and the 5" pipe, but why delete the muffler? Just to make it louder? I can't imagine the muffler would provide enough back pressure on that 5" pipe to reduce performance and it might just get rid of that drone, but maybe I'm wrong. I've been wanting a Cummins Ram for a long time, so the mods people do and the reasoning behind them interest me. Thanks for uploading this. Definitely helps give some perspective.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did the whole tuneup/delete cost?

By far the number one reason I went with 5" on my 15 I have a muffler but just ordered delete pipe. Mine is loudest at 55-60 in 6 gear but not to annoying

55-60 with the muffler? How much different is it with a muffler? I have considered getting one just to have since they're real easy to swap out. I don't find the deletes annoying at all though haha just more for consideration of my neighbors and my early morning cold starts

damn this video makes it hard for me to buy a mega cab with short bed and a crew with a long bed. long beds looks good with the right lift and tires. I hate short beds but love the look of the mega. anyways love the diesel man. keep up the great videos

AJ Pataialii I love my 2007 mega cab but wasn't to happy with the short bed so I took it up to Salt Lake City to get the long bed conversion I absolutely love it . You can't go wrong with a mega cab 👍🏽

Hi Javier! I suggest you do tune yours, you won't regret it. This is my first diesel too so I had a tough time deciding what to go with. Where are you located? Is there any reputable diesel shops near you? If not, consider getting ahold of T&K Performance in Montana. He is willing to ship anywhere and is very reasonable on price, plus does a great job tuning. Let me know if you have any questions!

The truck looks clean!!!!! My dream truck right there.To many guys try to hard to make their truck look good and it ends up looking gay. You got a good stance on that truck and perfect height. The look matches the performance. Its always a good laugh when a guy pulls up with a way over lifted truck, with tires hanging past their studded fender flairs with 7" tip bolted on their 4" pipe and the only mods under the hood is they removed the turbo silencer ring while they installed their cheap cold air intake that doesn't add much HP to their plug and play tune.

Great video Matt. I just got a 2017 and was wanting to put some miles on it before deleting and doing exhaust/tune but it's so tempting to get it done now. Don't want any warranty issues coming up and getting turned away at the dealer. What made you go with 5" vs 4"? I'm having trouble deciding which sound I like better.

Hi Joe! I know what you mean, I waited til 35k miles to delete mine as bad as I wanted to do it before hand. I know a lot of guys that do it end up deleting at around 6k miles. That gives it plenty of time to show any issues if there are going to be any. Its still stressful though because these things are not cheap to fix when something goes wrong. It is nearly impossible to find a dealer who will work with you and your deleted truck. In fact, if the first dealer you go to decides they dont want to work on it, they have to flag your VIN and that will ruin your chances of having any other dealer work on it for warranty work. I chose the 5" because, in my ears, its a lot deeper, not as loud and looks proportionate to the size of the truck (not that that really has anything to do with it). I had a hell of a time deciding though, and that is one of the main reasons why I made this video and the few others on my page. Its tough to find a good video of a 5" flo pro on a 6.7 on youtube. The perk to the 4" is that you just need to get a couple delete pipes vs the full TBE that you need with a 5". If youre planning on pulling heavy a lot and making serious power, you should look towards a 5" to dissipate EGT's. If youre on a budget, a 4" is the way to go. If you are doing it for sound, you really can't go wrong with a 5". It sounds like a fricken beast in person haha. Hope this helps.
