You cannot beat it. Not only the sound but the functionality. No other trucks exhaust brake system comes close.

I am amazed your millage I get in my 2020 3500 dually 14.9 The exhausts brake is awesome! and works great for hauling

@@awdeveau Its my first Ram dually. I have usually drove f 350s and chevy but The Ram power, comfort, and all the options make it nice. Down fall to Ram there is 2 recalls. wheel studs, and fuel pump fail. They don't seem to have a fix yet from what the dealership say's, Ram is a nice truck glad I veered from the Power stroke for once

@@klondikeconan8833 I believe Ram has a fix for the fuel pump, but no parts available. Patiently waiting for parts availability so I can get mine in and the recall done. Then I can put my truck on a diet.

You’d be surprised. The stock 68 isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. I ran mine with a 467 for a while with no issues. It wasn’t until I put on a 472 and started running close to 700hp is where I started having issues. I originally was going to rebuild it and decided to just do a 48RE swap with FMVB. I still have the 68 rebuild kit which is good for 800hp if you’re interested. I make trips to FL all the time

My 68 took a dump and i never even ran it hard after deleting. But of course I had EFI Live Custom tuning. Its a totally different Monster than box tuners. One of my problems was 3:42 gears and running 35s. Didn't last a Month towing.

I’m running an S468 plus some extra fuel on an original 68 with 170k miles on it. Granted I’m not doing rolling burnouts or 4x4 launches but it’s holding well so far.

Smart man on the tune choice. Just had my trans put back in and still haven't completely learned my lesson. Supposed to be a really good trans, but it's still a 68 no matter what you do to it...

Would love to see more vids man and hear your thoughts on what it’s like owning a new 5th gen and what the problems you’ve faced and such over the time of you owning the truck. All I’ve ever owned is Cummins other than my very first vehicle it was an 01 duramax LB7 but later on I finally upgraded to a 2015 ram 2500 and then I bought a clean 08 mega cab 3500 g56 and sold the 2015 and now I’m in the market for a new truck and I’m on the fence with one of these or a 2017-2021 6.7 powerstroke just wanted to see your input after owning the truck for a couple years. Thanks man.

I see you bought your truck at Glenn freedom in Lexington ky. Same place I got mine too!!

I learned from a lot of my buddies that have worked on their Cummins that when tuning a Cummins. If you got a lead foot then stick between 60-80HP. Which is the tow tune depending on what tuner you have. I deleted my 18 2500 two years ago and I average about 15-16mpg with the tow tune and straight piped mine and the neighbors hate how loud it is when I cold start it.

I actually asked my went around to my neighbors and let them know and if they had a problem to tell me before calling the cops. Lol. I actually keep mine in the 175hp tune but I also drive like an elderly person. Best mpgs

@@chuey352 I have heard the higher HP the better MPG. Raceme says 120HP is the best for MPG for their tune which I have but until I get the money to head stud my engine and get a better turbo and tranny. Then I might set the tune higher

No very little to no drone when you’re not hauling. When hauling under heavy load , it’s noticeable but not bad at all.

I have a Cougar 290RLS and my 2500 cummins handles it fine. I am right at tongue weight limit by I can't tell it. I handle fine.

All depends on tune. I have clean tunes that don’t dump fuel so there is little to no smoke unless I’m at +175, even then it’s not bad

What tuning company are you using??

What tune do you run daily when not towing and did you get trans tuning done also??

Deletings your truck u would need full exhause tune egr delete and cummins bybass prolly run your about 2k if u take it to a shop probably 3k

If they should up at my house a deleted diesel emissions is the least of my worries.

Did you have to install an aftermarket exhaust brake after the delete or were you able to keep the factory one? Cause’ I want to delete mine and I’m not sure if I will be able to keep my factory exhaust brake

Deletes don’t have anything to do with exhaust brake. Factory stays on, it’s just much louder

If you have $ to fight it, they have to prove the delete did the damage. So delete doesn't exactly void warranty. It's called the Magnuson moss act I think.

Too soon to void that warranty….My 2015 2500 needed a new turbo at 52,000 miles and if it would have been deleted, a stock turbo alone would have cost me $4,800….not worth doing it yet

Any delete will make it smoke. Youre completely removing the dpf. My +30hp barely smokes and the 175 smokes quite a bit when I get on it

My 2012 I deleted the DPF but the EGR is still in place and functional with emissions intact tuning. I cut my tailpipe off to keep the rear quarter from being black on the time. Dumps toward the ground now

I wonder how bad the truck smells after delete?

It’s just how they look when being filmed. Something to do with phone cameras.

Hey Matt, just bought a 2019 2500 that was previously deleted and went back stock. It still have the “magic button”. It has 44k miles and I’m wondering if I need to use the warranty they will deny because it was previously deleted. If that is the case, I’ll just go ahead and delete it. Any thoughts? Dealer will know 100% if the truck had been touched before if they run a diagnostic. Some may honor due to it being back to stock.

Just "DELETED"/ tuned my 14, 2500. Any ideas of what to do with all the garbage that came off? Is it worth anything, or just trash?

DOT? I would be more worried about the EPA! I’m a Hot Driver and I have a 2500 driving all over the country. I’ve been through a few DOT inspections and they never looked under the hood or under the truck to see if it was deleted.

Another bright KZreadr, everybody knows EPA looking for this, yet people still put it on KZread and shows their license plate, then is upset when they get a notice.

I own a 2020 3500 ho, my first diesel, deleted it at 20 000 km and did it all myself. The hardest part is unplugging the stock exhaust sensors. There is so many helpful videos on KZread. Everything diesel and dark iron diesel have some good vids. I went with ez lynk with ccs tunes bought from dirty diesel customs in Canada. I believe the only thing they can't ship to us is exhaust. I just went with a delete pipe to fill in gap instead of replacing the entire section as I have the air suspension and the 5 in kit wouldn't fit.

Just don't understand why people drive short buses I guess it's just an oversized SUV for like women

what tranny are you running ? if the 68 , any upgrades to the tranny before the deletes? i know i would like to delete mine down the road but with the 68rfe im iffy. would like to add only 50+horse max 100 an baby it as well

68rfe is fine. Only issue is that some overheat due to not getting trans coolant causing them to grenade Snag the ATS thermal bypass. It’s a fail safe. I wouldn’t worry about it at all. Put 100k on both of my 5th gens 0 issues
