Lou Rawls in heaven? Lou Rawls is heaven!
Lou Rawls' voice is like a perfectly aged, velvety glass of bourbon infused with a sprinkle of humor. It's a smooth operator, buttering up your ears with its richness and charm, making you feel like you're sipping on a delightful cocktail of soulful melodies. His voice could turn a frown into a cheeky grin and whisk your worries away like a mischievous breeze. So incredibly refined, it's like a mischievous jazz cat playing hide-and-seek with your heartstrings, leaving a trail of laughter and joy in its wake.

I wish I could see them again with the big smiles... and the Kiss at the end of the dance, my dad had a great voice and Mum loved him singing and dancing in front of us kids.... those years gave us respect for ladies and we carried it on to our children

Artists of our generation sang in a clear understandable voice, the lyrics could be understood word after word, you had time to feel what they were expressing in the song, and it made you feel, joy, sadness, happiness, pain, love, and peace. Many of those artists have left this life, but have blessed us with music we can continue to listen to and be thankful for.

Plush velvet. You hear Lou with your heart. It's a unique and amazing talent. He and Marvin Gaye are my favorites. I feel like these guys invented time travel. I hear their music and it really takes me back. Kids today don't know what they are missing. All of the music is electronically modified, and most of the big acts lip sync their concerts. It's a rip off.
50 YEARS AFTER : UNFORGETTABLE SONG !! WOW !!
I look at those smiling youngsters, and sincerely hope, that their life was as happy, as they were in that video.
This song is just beautiful. Rest in peace Lou Rawls 😥 many years since you left, but we will not forget you... 😢❤❤❤
Back in Texas,, working at Nokia, factory,, we sang this song on our line,, 2000,, good times... I loved my life in Texas,, 2021,, still singing,, Miss you all.. stay Safe..

Lou Rawls was a 60’s singer that basically reinvented himself in the 70’s thanks to Gamble and Huff.

He was even in The Chosen Gospel Singers during the 50s. But his most commercial success and his finest hour was when he recorded for PIR. You'll Never Find, Lady Love, Pure Imagination, See You When I Get There - all his biggest hits are in Philly!

I wonder if there'll ever be any music as good as this again
This was my Grandmother's absolute favorite song of all time! She used to tell us that when it came out, she would be painting, and have to get down from the ladder to play it again on the turn table. It was a 45 record.... no loop in 1976. Boy, do I miss my Grandma!!!
This song always reminds me of my dad. When I was a kid, we’d sing this in the car together. My dad, sister, and I. Me and my sister would sing the background vocals. Such fond memories every time I hear this. Nostalgic. ♥️

As a 1984 baby, I wouldn't have been blessed with this level of music, if not for my parents who raised me on 1970s music. I'm truly lucky to be here. Not to sound old, but the music for kids these days. Makes my late 90's music sound like heaven compared to today. Thankfully my daughter digs the 70s too.

Que canción tan hermosa, me encanta !!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤
So this song saw the light in 1976. This is 2021. 45 years later. And here I am tonight... The words of this song kept repeating itself through my mind. I put on the laptop and searched it. I'm 56 years of age and for some reason unbeknown to me the late 70's music touches my soul. This is one of the songs which take me places I can't describe. I can't help but wonder if there's more such souls out there. It's so special and so awesome that I want to be back in those times even though I was only 11 at the time and have no memories of this song. It sounds crazy I know but it pulls me and with everything inside of me I just want to go there. I feel a sadness come over me that this was and won't be again. This to me is pure magic.
