I'm Italian and, in the 60s and 70s, we had a singer-songwriter called Fred Bongusto, who had a beautiful voice like Lou Rawls and, like him, made elegant and very melodic songs. Lou Rawls and Fred Bongusto, best singers! ❤

Most of his live versions of this song are better than the studio version. That's what separates a lot of the old time singers from today's singers.

In the Land of Cool Cats, Lou Rawls was proclaimed by all to be King. His voice lost nothing over the many years of his career. He passed way too soon. Smooth!
