This man is 70 and went through hell with a brain tumor and lost his voice and battled back. What an absolute legend and inspirational figure for everyone. Love you Lou! Found you 7 years ago, I’m 22 now and your voice and music has changed my life

Parker, you’re exactly right! It does my heart good to hear younger people recognize this. Lou was amazing back in the day. I got to see Foreigner on the tour when this song came out. I couldn’t believe how close to the recordings he sounded in person. But, music was more of a craft then. Nowadays it’s auto tuned and auto corrected and sometimes even created on computer. It all sounds alike. I marveled listening to this thinking back to when I saw them in 1984 and how great he sounds now, knowing he couldn’t sing at all for a very long time with that tumor. Lou has faith in Jesus. He knows where his help comes from.

@Brian O'Callahan. Thats why I still listen to his solo concert on KZread currently "READY OR NOT" the live concert recorded back in 1987, because Lou's one of the few singers in his prime, that was not limited to just singing Foreigner songs and the first album showcased his singing/songwriter skills well, but the reason he made the SOLO albums at all was 1. To get his rock credibility back 2 .Mick Jones was rejecting any ideas he brought to the table for songs, (that started during the making of the 4 album) out of Micks greed and control. 3 Lou was still trying to show the fans he was rocker not a crooner. 4. And back then the fans and the PRESS side with Lou because Foreigners songs/albums were getting like a steak losing its sizzle, thats why he left in 1990 and left again in 2003(Because of Micks alcoholism)

@Brian O'Callahan. You're welcome and I really hope people will check out his prime years more especially "live" outside of Foreigner during the Solo and Shadow King period, pure overlooked treasures that actually helped Foreigner maintain any visibility after "I want to know what love is" Its a great song but it overshadowed the "Rock Side" of the bands music and the direction Lou felt things should've been going. 👍

He has come back A LOT since then. Those years right after the surgery, his singing was really rough. I saw him live about 2-3 years after and it was bad, just felt bad for him. But in recent years, a lot of his voice has come back. Not so much the full range, as age and the damage will have been done, but his tone and power are back at very good levels for a man of 70 having gone through all that he has. He finally sounds like himself again.

I’m 57 years old and can still sing every word of every song from Foreigner 4…Lou Gramm was and always will be Foreigner! What an incredible voice. So sad how Mick Jones screwed him over and treated this legend the way he did! This guy is pure talent!!

This makes me so happy he looks so much healthier and can sing so well, he doesn't try and sing the way he did when he was younger which sounds so much better then singers that try to (Axl Rose). He looks and sounds better then 10 years ago. 1 of the most underrated singers from 1 of the most underrated bands ❤
