Whenever the soft piano music plays I always have the thought “And my name is J.R. Hartley” 😂

Been following your channel for a while now and can’t get over your enthusiasm, really enjoying every episode. As an ex car mechanic please get a car lift Gary because you will do yourself in otherwise! I absolutely love your black Corniche.

Can't say that enough. I'm in my 60s, rolling around. on a concrete floor is painful during the chilly months and the warm months don't help much.
When you mentioned safety I thought you might put the guard on the grinder. Watch them fingers Gary!
Gary and the red car collection! 👍🏽
Another gem. The passion seems to radiate through the filming.
Looking forward to more on the Elite👍
What an eye Gary has for shapes of metal panels!
A pleasure to watch as always, great to see the Elite running, Tom will be chuffed to see both his cars getting the attention they deserve.
Great to see the Lotus out!
Great work Gary to see the Elite back on the road. My late fathers one was a 501 with cream leather when he had one back in the early eighties except his one was blue. Your one is bringing back fond memories.....😊 Looking forward to more videos on all of your cars.,..👍
Hi Gary, loving the content as always. One tiny tip, put something soft on the end of your jack handle, to avoid damaging any car that's close by. Ask me how I know :)
I love the music on your videos! Pretends it’s all calm when it isn’t!
That choke cable for the Lotus is basically a bicycle brake/gear cable. If the original was old and sticky then its a good idea to change both the inner and outer, then you get a silky smooth low friction action. You might be able to get a little ferrule to crimp on the end of the cable and stop it fraying, or you could put a blob of solder on the end.
Good to see the Lotus again. Looking good.
The cam belt probley renewed after it snapped that is why the lotus sounds like it's running on three clyners the value is probably bent and don't forget the petrol is old
That Lotus sounds so good!
Good to see the Lotus 👍
You’re inspiring me to pull the trigger on an Elite! Keep up the great work.
The charm of a classic Lotus never fails!
Watching from Roi-ET, Issan north east Thailand!
Yet another clip of your Skills Gary ,Well done you 👍👍😀😀
Another exellent job Gary Another very well spent sunday morning watching you doing what you do best You are working with metal panels for some time ,you need an English wheel to help you
Nice old blue jumper x

Elena! It’s Botega Veneta! (Was!!)
Its brilliant seeing these two again! Thanks for allowing me to sit in the Lotus at the NEC.👍🏽
The drain hole under the rear window feeds directly into the trunk without a hose or anything.
Absolutely AMAZING, that is the onlyt to way to describe this.
What a pleasant, calming, soothing voice, just the sort of person I’d want working on my own car👍
Another very enjoyable, relaxing and soothing watch, well done Gary ! Next video from L.A then..?
Great start to 2024 , Gary. Lotus shows good oil pressure btw.
Hey Gary - Great to see your cracking on with the motors again. Tidy piece of bodywork on the 928 and have to say you made it look easy (and enjoyable !). Wonderful to hear the Lotus running after its 6 months slumber - the new interior you are planning will look a treat and will really give it a lift. Awesome episode and look forward to the next one ! Cheers Stew
Are you going to paint the Porsche yourself? - I'm intrigued why you didn't also prep and paint the parts you had already rubbed back at the same time when you had the dust sheet out? Looking forward to seeing how you balance those carbs and what tool you use (when it's back from LA/work on the Merc)! Nice Work as always - you need to have words with your wife about putting a Car port on the side of the garage to keep the weather off the rest of your fleet!
Top work! So relaxing to watch, actually therapeutic for an incurable car fiddler like me. So glad you treated the inside of that repair panel, many so called professional restorers 'forget' that very important detail
I'll bring my MR2 project over for red paint 😊 great episode 👍
Hi Chris here from Lee on the Solent, Great video as usual. Keep up the good work.
Lovely red cars😁
Superb ..thanks Gary.
Great video, don't think I'd have used the grinder near the open carbs tho, you know fuel vapour (!)
Great video Gary 👍🏻😀
My dad bought a new 501 in 1976 from Len Street Motors in Chelsea.Gun metal grey. What a cool car to go to school in.
Yeah man
Have you considered getting some outdoor carcoons? Would keep the moisture out during the winter period.
Top man 🙏👏👏👏
Thanks again, Gary. Great watch.
Is identical to the Lamborghini Espada. A classic from the past.
Had to chuckle at the ice on the Elite. Was out in my S1 Elise the other day when it was 36C and no AC here in Perth.
Well done that Man
All of those grinder sparks next to the rolls Royce will make it go rusty
Hi Gary another superbe video i love it as all of them ..thank you for sharing big hello from Luxembourg
You have an awesome collection of RED cars! Be a shame to paint that Corniche!

Happy New year Bob! Did you sort your problem out with the carbs dumping fuel on the shadow? They’re designed to do that if the needles or floats stick. I sent you a message…

Europa is a very cool car!
always, always had a big soft spot for the Elite, remember riding shotgun in one with a crook gearbox back in the mid 90's.
Love your videos! Can't wait for the next one.
@12:41 😊
Saw you in an episode of Vera the other night! Had no idea! 👍🏻
Another awesome episode, really enjoyed it, thanks!
BOOM 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Top work mate
brilliant Gary happy new year sir
Good to see the Elite getting out. Are you still waiting for a replacement chassis?

Great job on the porche and u job née pads
Awesome Gary. (Tribal Porsche)
Please do my Landcruiser!
Always enjoy your videos, obviously you know your stuff, but for the cost of a new timing belt, its worth replacing, most manufacturers give a belt change in mileage, and age. You don't want to damage engine/ head.
Gay get a guard on that wee grinder just too risky with out it. U should still stick with the old fashion way of welding the tin work as it dosnt take much heat to distort it and u might only see the distortion after paint. And seam seal on all the welds and seam where u don’t see it. Great videos keep them comming
Chop that tree down and you could double the garage width. Dig down and get a double height lift in !
Another fab vid Gary. Keep meaning to ask - where for you get that vice stand from? I could really do with one! Thanks.

I was always wondering what happened after the last episode with the 928, the start of the welding then NADDA.....
Where can i get me one of those welding jumpers man?!
Gary, you got a lot of red in your driveway… a mark of passion, or peril.

No I wanted to but what happens is it’s originally brown but has turned light green with the sun. So opting for clean new cream leather which was an option when new. Regards.

ah. I remember you saying something about that in an older video but I'm kinda colour-blind so was none the wiser. Great work on every episode@@classic.obsession
Hi Gaz, why didn't you planish the weld?, is it unnecessary with that welder?
What was the consensus on the chassis condition?
I think the Lotus has dodgy earths… slow cold starting and flaky indicators ! Great car though, responded well to a bit of TLC…
Inner structure behind sill looked a bit scabby to.
Hi would you know how to remove the leather on a silver shadow thanks
🤘😎🤘🚗💨🇬🇧
if you sell the Porsche - let me know! :)
Are you both retired and single? No idea how you do it
Gary I love the show and you are great but the music is awful mate. Please change it.
