Why can't I imagine these guys as normal sized human beings? I keep thinking they're hobbit sized, no matter what they do or who they stand beside.

they are pretty small, 1.69 m and 1.7 meters, so if not actual hobbits its not too far away from hobbits :)

I am assuming that hair was actually pulled out, ouch! No, back to them and Treebeard together. They actually kind of are together in a fanfiction piece, entitled, “by route and twig. “At least, that’s what I think that title is, and you can read more. relationship there is rather odd, sexual fantasy, that is.
