Honestly, considering that RPGs have been eating more and more influence from AAA-studio games and losing their original style for it, it's nice to see one that looks like it might actually play like an oldschool one instead of turning into Kingdom Hearts (I actually like that series, but EVERY single RPG doesn't need to be a real-time action-rpg)

P a r i s。 Same! I really loved I Am Setsuna and I had high expectations for Tokyo RPG Factory's next game and Lost Sphear looks amazing. I can already tell I'll probably love the game just as much, if not, maybe even more. Can't wait to see more if the game as time goes on. :)

The combat system is giving me some Chrono Trigger vibes. I like the looks of it.

Sure it does. Party members and enemies dispersed over the field. Attack/Skills/Items options. Party's stats tucked neatly in the corner. It's almost the exact same. Which is great, CT had one of my favorite battle systems of all time.

I'm already loving this game. The music is making me emotional and the style is so nostalgic.

I feel like the title "Lost Sphear" was a typo, but Japan just say "Hey, leave it, the internet will love this and go crazy." To make it more memorable and stand out from other JRPGs.

I also kind of wished new enemys. the penguins from i am setsuna looks more like lazy. only explanation could be that it's in the same universe of i am setsuna. but final fantasy was actually same in thst regard with returning enemies.

Well I know it's the same developers using the same engine as I Am Setsuna. Just wondering why they're reusing the enemy assets. Buildings and structures okay but enemies that I've already associated with I Am Setsuna seems weird. Unless this ties into I Am Setsuna somehow.

it's the same developer most likely the same team, but yea they seem to have used some of the same monsters. Maybe this game somehow is related to that game story wise somehow or in some essence

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that either A) They take place in the same world or universe, or B) They simply recycled the enemies because Tokyo RPG Factory's job is to, well, be a factory that churns out RPG's. Recycling enemies saves time. Not like other franchises don't do the same thing, and Squares biggest series, Final Fantasy, recycles the same enemies from game to game despite the vast majority of the games not being related to one another.

The gameplay footage says in big letters "DEVELOPMENT FOOTAGE - SUBJECT TO CHANGE." Most likely, these enemies are just placeholders from I am Setsuna, and will be changed later into development.

Day one buy for me! because I enjoyed iam setsuna and bravely default. need more games like this on the switch.

just finished watching this twice. it looks amazing and the song is very beautiful. amazing song! definitely interested in this game.

The soundtrack almost touches my heart as much as 'Dearly Beloved'.

Looks like a game I could watch as walkthroughs. Very I Am Setsuna (totally forgot the name) esque. I hope the story is very good.

I love it already. The music hit my feels good and the story seems very interesting. The gameplay looks fun from what we've seen.

I just loooove the art direction, and the music fits the tone! I just might have to get this!

It gives me a Mother 3 vibe for some reason, it'd be nice if you could name the characters as well. Like your mom would vanish and be gone but it'd be more personal and emotional if it was named as someone you hold dear. Looks great so far though!

I'm not calling Americans stupid, I'm talking about the people who are. I'll edit the comment to include quotes around "stupid Americans". Hopefully that will make it more clear that I'm not calling Americans stupid. My comment is simply that it shouldn't matter what time a video is uploaded, and that way more people are chiming in to correct the complainers than there are actually people complaining. Of course, I recognize the irony of the fact that my comment about all the complaints is itself a complaint.

I just woke up and had a sudden urge to check KZread, so glad that I did! This game looks great. I love RPGs, and I Am Setsuna on the Switch was a perfect fit. This looks like it will improve upon the formula. Where can I preorder?

This is the kind of games I bought my Switch for and why I waited for the Switch to play I Am Setsuna, it just feels at home on the Switch.

i higly doubt this is project octopath traveler, first of all the reveal of octopath had nothing in it about tokyo rpg factory, also tokyo rpg factory is an indie studio that simply has its games published by square and, the octopath reveal had a very different art style from this game p.s. project octopath traveler is probly going to be the actual name of that game

Stormblade 289 SE can't even give us a date on the game. I'm browsing the internet currently and can't find any confirmation. I found that they MAY port it over, but that's not a guarantee. don't get me wrong, I want as many people playing the fantastic game known as KH, but don't get your hopes up

Stormblade 289 Hahaha, no. Credible sites haven't reported this and I look at the original interview in Japanese and already find mistranslation. Matsuda-san said they are open to bring some KH for Switch in the future but he never said KH3 is coming for Switch. And if that rumor is true about Monster Hunter getting rebooted and Sony paid a lot to keep it away from Switch then Switch is really a weak console that is lacking the juice. Not that I care, I bought Switch for the gameplay and not the graphics. If you really want that cinematic stuff you have to get a PS4. That's where all cinematic stuff will have its ground since the company behind that console is funding a lot cinematic projects from their first party side. That's the reality. I expect some KH to come to Switch but it could be made by the team who made KH Unchained Chi. Same staff from Jupiter behind TWEWY.
