Careful in SC.. In 1973 I got stopped for going 56 in a 55 in Aynor, SC. in a VW bug that was hard pressed to do 60 mph. The officer asked me how much cash I had on hand. I told him 45 dollars. He said, "the fine is 45 dollars". I handed the cash to him and he told me to have a good day. NO RECIEPT.. Oh Well.. That's SC in the good ole days w/ the law enforcement..

Hi Justin. The same thing happened to me with Georgia and Tennessee. I had renewed my license in Georgia once and the next time I had a charge from Tennessee. When I asked Georgia for my license back to take of the charge, they had already destroyed my license, 5 minutes, so I had no license for 24 hours, but it all got worked out and no additional ticket. I renew mine online now. Have good days!

i went to renew my driver's license last year and was told i had to clear it with Arizona. there was a ticket for no show in court. the last time i was in court was 1990 and everyone involved had passed away and Arizona had deleted it from their records 15 years ago so no records at that end. i had to fight to get my license in Washington.

The same exact thing happened to me here in in Louisiana. I went to renew my license three months ago, and the lady asked me what I had going on in Arizona. I told her that I have a house in the West valley of Phoenix, but I've been back in Louisiana now for 13 years. Just like you I just went out to my car and made a phone call to Arizona and got it all straightened out within a few minutes. They had a fine for me and they said it was because I failed to renew my Arizona. I never failed to renew my license, I just moved back home to Louisiana. It's just a scam that have going so they can make money I suppose. I never had a problem with ADOT during the ten years that I lived there. I asked the lady in Arizona if I could just walk back into the office here in Louisiana and renew, and she told me that it might take 3 business days for it to update.

About the same happened to me. My wife gets on to me for keeping records that are at least 25 years old. The one time I needed it saved my CDL. Drive Safe Justin.!

It can be a mess. I have a friend that was hauling explosives and military equipment, weapons, etc into military bases and they pulled him put of the truck at gunpoint on a base because he had a warrant for an old ticket that didn't process correctly. He only owed like $35 bucks and they had him arrested in Kentucky all for $35. Our government is out of control.

Glad you got that straightened out quickly! Yesterday I finally got the title for the Peterbilt 387 I bought over 2 months ago. Discovered the joy of my first 2290 and an application for a new IRP account. I'll be visiting Allison in the near future for an overhaul and then find a 53' stepdeck. After that, I guess I'll sit at home after spending all that $$$ waiting for rates to come back.

That issue with your CDL renewal is weird. Glad you got it sorted out. Here in VA, because of issues associated with 9/11, your actual license is mailed to you afterwards and you walk out of DMV with a piece of paper.

Small bit of info. Most tire pressure monitors have a battery life of 5 years or so, so if that one just gave up the ghost the others might not be far behind. Sometimes you get lucky and they never go bad, sometimes you end up chasing your tail one after another.

I was in NM when Pennsylvania down graded My CDL A to a non cdl A over a School bus endorsement physical and i didnt have the endorsement for 2 years before that happened

Justin.. glad AZ was able to get that corrected quickly. My wife and I are both from Columbia, SC. Moved to Maricopa, AZ in 2011-2015. We're in Clover, SC now just below Belmont. I remember laughing when I registered for an AZ license bc their fee was ridiculously low ($38 in 2011). I asked how much the property taxes were for each vehicle? The DMV lady looked puzzled and said "SC makes you pay property tax on your vehicles?!" LOL. Glad you got it sorted out.

Glad u got things worked out. I get a DMV printout every 6 months. For all the time and effort I put into getting my CDL and without any points, the time and money spent are well worth it to know my record is still clean.

AZ got me as well. It was like a 15 yr old ticket that I thought I paid. I had to fly out there appear in court and say sorry and pay the fine. Damn near lost my job but thankfully they gave me 30 days to get it taken care of.

Happened to me as well Justin. Something from 1985 that the state in question (Iowa) couldnt even explain. They fixed it right away with an apology.

The system might be tiring but as a European (NL) I'm pleasantly surprised by how friendly those ladies were on the phone and at the counter.

I had a similar issue. From Arizona of course. Was from a parking ticket I got back in 2006. Same as you went to renew my CDL and they said I couldn’t. That my license was suspended in AZ. Lol.

That very same lady told me I had to retake all three test . General knowledge, Combination and Air Brakes just to take the Tanker endorsement test.

Man that's nuts. I lived in surprise back before the 303 even went north of grand. And lived on the phoenix/Glendale border before that. Things have changed out here for sure, left town for Tucson in 2008, and to San diego in 2013. A lot has changed in west valley for sure.

Yeah, I've heard many states are doing reciprocity with drivers licenses... in a way it's good because there are soo many people who get suspended in 1 state, then get a license in another to keep driving... one reason why CDL's are national.. Glad you could get that cleared up quickly. Nice an hot out here in AZ today.. 97 in the valley... Glad it's supposed to go back down to the 80's now.

That's SCDMV for yah Justin, I drove for SCDOT out of Union County. I went to get my CDL renewed, and was driving a state owned vehicle, the lady that renewed mine put down that I was a long haul trucker. The dmv called for me to turn in my license and I could have lost my job after 30 years on the road. Becareful at the dmv folks, they will mess you up.

I had that happen to me to, got a speeding ticket in California paid the ticket was told that I did not need to show up to court because I paid ticket but they still suspended my license because I did not show… it’s like a money grab

A REAL ID or an Enhanced DL will be required after the set dates for each state. Got my Enhanced license a couple years ago.

I pulled into an inspection in NY, officer says” well, we have a problem”, my license was suspended only in NY because of a speeding ticket from 1983( this was now 2020)Long story short, I paid $100 parking ticket and $150 for representing attorney 😂

when we moved from Lexington,SC to Bakersfield,Ca in 07 it took me over 2 yrs to get my Ca DL cause SC was trying to say my SC DL was suspened for lack of proof of insurance...i made sure about insuarence before we left sc and once we got to calif i made sure to switch ,,,but wow best wishes guys

I received a rather large speeding ticket in AZ in the early 90's and I never paid it. I received a letter in the mail that said my driving privileges were suspended in the state of AZ until the ticket was taken care of. I had come off the road and thought well screw it I'm not going back there anytime soon any way. Those SOB's put it on my credit report! It slowed me down from being able to buy a house! LOL!!!

Asking you truckers. I spent last week on the road in Arkansas/Mississippi/Tennessee and I thought there was a lot more trucks on the road. I expected much less. But it was packed on I30 and I20 out of Texas.

Lived in NJ for the first 37 years of my life. Moved to PA. Driving outta here for say 10 years. We're here now since 1997. I'm trying to condense this. Okay, I got pulled in for a full inspection, equipment, paperwork and my license, medical card, etc etc. In MD. Sitting for a long time after the equipment portion was done. Officer comes out and said, "" driver""--"" did you ever live in NJ ""? Uh oh. What happened is NJ never canceled my license when I changed it to PA and suspended my NJ license and that showed up on MD 's dmv check. I ended up sitting there all day whilst my wife ran to Harrisburg and get documents to fax to the scale and get me released. Oh yeah, I was OOS. Beware of dealing with the Dept of motor vehicle.

The most messed up thing is it probably cost Arizona more in labor (phone calls, data entry time) to collect the $10, than the money they actually recovered.

When I unloaded trucks in the 80's. Freight rates dropped when product wasn't moving out of the stores. I've noticed diesel prices have dropped , low demand. In time this will pass..the sooner the better....

what i find interesting about it is they just now decide to put it on your record, for whatever reason, and its pretty much held you back. and on top of it, you've had a spotless CDL record, no being pulled over, no nothing really. surely they can just overlook it and tell you to go to arizona and get it sorted by the next license reissuance?

Justin. You have to keep in mind that some of your passengers might just be going through a bad time and does not feel like talking. 🥺

Buddy I watch your videos and I catch myself smiling the whole time. You seem so genuine you never let things upset you. You turn negative into positive and your at home life is almost like a fairy tale. Your family is solid and your a good father. All I remember about my father is him always yelling at me and calling me horrible names plus the physical abuse but it was the name calling that still haunts me today. Just wanted to say your a good person and I wish I could be more like you. Hell I would've went off over that 10 dollar reinstatement thing but you handled it like a pro. i do experdite caskets from a local company last year in a half it has dropped about 75 percent barley getting enough for insurance

At times I miss driving a truck. Then, I see the troubles with the rates and glad I'm working IT. 15:10 That load is probably empty parts bins going from the BMW plant back to the parts supplier. I did a run in that area before. The best part is I was parked about half a mile from the receiver. It made for about a 15 mile round trip for $500.
