A show from my childhood. The color is great. The music is AWESOME. This show was so good in the 60s as space exploration had just started. I think this is one reason people were interested in this show.

How good was the music, unforgettable. The sountrack to L.I.S is a masterpiece in its own right, thsnks to John Williams!

Great, Great, Great! This is wonderful job! Lost in Space is a big classic tv show and deserve be colorized as like Zorro. Since 1965 I see the first season in black and white. Who knows some day in my life I can watching in color. Thanks for this fantastics samples!

Actually, Kevin Burns himself said he is considering releasing the first season in color. Hopefully this channel gets enough support.

In this very first colorized season of Lost In Space, this is one of the greatest version that I ever seen in history of KZread. Keep up the good work guys, you guys are awesome!

I am impressed, as much as I am a fan oh B/W, this really gives another level of wonder and is equal if not exceeds the 2nd and 3rd season.

Absolutely magnificent and spectacular work by Guy Michael Foster! I couldn't possibly be anymore impressed. I only wish I'd discovered his work and content much earlier than just today. Back during the earliest days of colorization when the technology was "still in its infancy" the quality was rather awful and a bit cringe-worthy at the very least. But drastic improvements arose in "leaps and bounds" once HD digitized frame-scanning & processing techniques became utilized as the industry standard. That great advancement, used in conjunction with "wet-gate" film transport technology which naturally "fills in" thus eliminates, a near entirety of scratches and other such imperfections caused by normal "wear & tear" the original source film suffered during past usage. It's truly amazing how a mere droplet of water (even nearly microscopic in size) uses the properties of light and "natural lensing" to magically "fill in" any small voids or imperfections. That, being achieved by interpolating what was originally there based upon the presently available neighboring detail surrounding it. An almost absurdly simple concept and technique which consistently produces stunning results regarding the restored detail sharpness and clarity of what had previously been lost. What I love most about today's "digitally enhanced colorization process" is how its use of color not only augments the B&W films from whence they originated by a quantum leap, but the results are actually superior to films shot entirely in 21st century technicolor in the customary manner. The reason being, its most important detail is given the most bursts of color and least important details are left almost unaltered so as still in near B&W shades of gray. The result is a color enhancement process which not only accomplishes what it originally set out to do, being convert B&W to Color, but further greatly accentuates the most strategic detail the film's creator intended viewers to focus upon the closest. The latter outcome, being a wholly unintended but wondrous added bonus which makes the visual results and stories they convey truly "come alive" and jump out of the screen at us. 5702450544@windstream.net

Seeing color frames from The Magic Mirror is..CRAZY lol

I sincerely hope that it is at least the intention of colorizing the full episodes of the entire Season 1, and putting them on KZread. It would literally be like discovering new episodes of the show. I never really watched the first season of Lost in Space because it's B&W and Seasons 2 & 3 are so bright and vivid with colors, I would prefer to watch them instead. So if Season 1 could ever be colorized in it's entirely, I would be able to watch episodes I never saw before. Keep up the great work, these examples are fantastic!!

This was really Amazing :) Thanks for Posting ! I'm a big fan of Lost in Space and would love to see the first season colorized ! I have the new Lost in Space Netflix 1st Season series on Blu ray which had the original pilot colorized which didn't look too bad at all. We live in hope that more will be done in the future. With the sad passing of Kevin Burns this year (he will be sadly missed as he did so much for Lost in Space and helped carry the Torch for future generations) It's all a bit uncertain - I did hear that Kevin's brother may have control over the rights to Lost in Space so we will see what happens ....

very nice work, interesting to see what the 1st season of Lost In Space looked like in color, different frames. It does seem strange the 1st year was not filmed in color, as color TV was making an in-row in this era. While Voyage was filmed in B/W 1st season however it was one year earlier than Lost In Space. I recall there had been discussion of shooting the un-aired pilot in color however Irwin Allen would have to pay for the color film stock/prints and processing fees. While the 2nd unit was filmed in color, 1st year was B/W like "No Place To Hide"

Would like to see eye color added to the humans and B9 Robot's claws colorized red. If the first season had been shot in color they undoubtedly would have painted them red as they did for the color seasons.

Werner Klemperer this was the last show he did before he got Hogan's Heroes.

They would never have put Dr Smith (or any primary cast member) in a gray tunic. The idea was to use the brightest colors and highest-contrast color combinations possible, bc they were uncertain how well colors would even render on the first-gen color TVs avail in that era.

Last picture with The Robot and the logo and "THE COLORIZED FIRST SEASON".... that's the second season logo.

these are great, I hope one day a person could colour select stills through out a film etc and then give it to "AI" so it can fill in the rest using the well done examples.

Did Dr Smith switch back to his original fatigue after everybody else started wearing the same ones they wore in the second season.Then he switched in the second season too

He did, because Jonathan Harris didin’t like the yellow jumper that he wore in ghost in space. After the magic mirror, he went back to the blue jumper until the space croppers, when he started wearing a prototype of his season 2 jumper. The yellow jumper made one last appearance in “all that glitters” along with dr,smith blue trousers that went with the blue jumper.

superb, delicious, delightful, it was a crime the first season of Lost In Space was made in black and white. I hope the first season gets coulorized. Paul Bacchus esq

Early B/W episodes references to G-D were absent in later color episodes

B & W Episodes of LIS should be colourised as a matter of urgency...

This looks way better than some of the colorized film I've seen. I noticed the water mark and have used PowerDirector before. I didn't think it was capable of this and wondering what you did if you're still around since this post is a couple years old.

Where can you buy the colorized DVD version of the 1st season and how much $$$?
