In America, when you lose a newborn, they bathe them, dress them well, and present them to you in a very sensitive manner. They let you hold them as long as you like and even take photos. I don't know why we fail patients and new mothers in Kenya. When your Healthcare job becomes routine and you become insensitive its time to change your career.

I had my baby but in the nursery for 3weeks and i had to watch other women give birth, go home and leave me in the hospital, i would cry everytime till i even started helping the women without milk to position their pumps and produce milk.... I would see them wonder why i was alone in my bed.... Thanks God my baby and i went home and this story you gave made me cry.

What am saying is that someone's tough times may just encourage you to rise up and keep going!

NOW I understand why my marriage failed. During my pregnancy, birth and postpartum, my husband was so indifferent. He wasn't working, so I took care of all the maternity bills, but even on the day I gave birth, he was blacked out. He had to be awoken several times. When we went home, he didn't want to do anything for me. We're in America, so we don't have any relatives around. He complained about bringing me a cup of tea or even making me food. So from day one, I did everything myself. My feet were swollen, I could walk properly, I wasn't sleeping, my birth wound hurt and my blood was out of control. Still, he said he's a Kenyan man and didn't do that kind of stuff. I Became resentful from then on and our marriage went downhill from there.

Oh my, Kariuki is reminding me of how my hubby is always wrongly mistaken. Tunaenda kubuy something kwa my kikuyu people, wanamsengenya, mwishowe anawapa surprise kwa kuwaongelesha kikuyu🤦🏽‍♀️ we shouldn’t be judging people by their looks. Wengi wamejipata pabaya for such reasons. I love this show🥰

Thank you Pete and Julie. Listening to your story was really helpful, thanks for sharing. I have an idea how losing a child you love affects people even when we aren't the immediate parents so being the immediate parent must be hard but as you said, God always has a plan, we just need to trust him so I pray for God to continue restoring you.

Subscribed to your channel after listening to your story, it was so uplifting. My take home was that I don't have to hold on to people with negative energy towards me, cut the off God making me forget all the troubles n pain I've gone through was so profound and I've chosen to walk and believe in this word. God bless you abundantly.

I love this couple. They have gone the same experiences like we have. We lost our 2nd child like that. It was a very difficult experience even though the hospital doctors and nurses in the US were very good. The experience is horrible. But there is a God who heals and restores his people. He did it for us just as this couple.
