Losi Tenacity TT Pro 17mm Hex Conversion for Running 1/8 Buggy Wheels

How to switch your Losi Tenacity over to 17mm wheel hexes so that you can run 1/8 buggy wheels. They’re cheap, handle great, and have tons of wheel and tire options. Very easy to switch back and forth between the hex sizes, too!

So the stock wheels are held on with locknuts, and I noticed that these are not lock nuts, any issue with them coming off?

Nice! My only real complaint about my db pro is the 12mm wheel hexes. Will have to look into getting a set of those. 👍

I added a DB Pro to my fleet, but then my 5 year old claimed it as his own! So I ended up buying the Fox Racing DB Pro body and converting this truck to a buggy. Looks sharp with the 1/8 buggy wheels! MIP makes a conversion kit, too. I like it better than the one I installed in this video.

I just stripped out my stock wheel and tire today is there anyway to run the proline gladiator or badlands 2.2/3.0 pre mount tires but change the inner part of the wheel to 17mm?

If you don’t want to convert it to 17mm hexes like I did in this video, you can try out some of the spacers available on Amazon. They slip over your 12mm hex and then you put the 17mm wheels onto them. I’ve never tried them so I can’t really say anything about the durability. Just search “17mm wheel adapter” on Amazon.

Any tire rubbing to wheel wells issue?

Little bit. I raised the body posts a notch and trimmed 1/4” off the wheel wells and it didn’t rub. I have since converted it to a desert buggy so it no longer has wheel wells!

Chinese Amazon tires for a 1/8 buggy! You’ll have to convert to 17mm hexes, but then they fit great. They hold up pretty well, too. I’ve had a few come unglued but they don’t fly apart on 4s.
