Well it sure is harder not to get one of these awesome rigs. I think you are exactly right. When the SMT came out it was a great looking rig but not quite there.(in my opinion) but This one? WOW..Losi did an awesome job on this rig and thanks for giving us a run down. Have a great weekend

That rubber insert is similar to what is on a motorcycle drive. Pretty neat to see it in an RC.

I always enjoy your "unboxing" vids. Not just for the information but the humor as well.

Most impressive thing losi has came out with all year what a beast. And over 35mph on 3s is insane for a MT. Those big ass axles and links are awesome too. I only wanted one losi the 10th scale baja Rey but now I want 2 losi models lol.

Exactly, I purchased the Baja Rey Ford raptor and just love😍 that thing so much. Ran it 12 times, each run become rougher and thing would not brake. Now I NEED this monster truck!

@@surfside75 I just love trailing arm straight axle rigs, I have a bomber and gatekeeper the 10th scale baja Rey will be mine someday and I'll get the Raptor because I'm a ford guy lol.

No one would answer me the durability questions I had of the SMT10, especially after my Yeti xl bad experiences..... I'm glad I waited as the Losi seems to be what I wanted

Loving the look of of this thing! Can’t wait to see your paint scheme and running video! They really hit it out of the park on the tires.. finally a chevron pattern that’s not connected by a cheap flashing ridge down the center! Thanks for sharing the awesomeness as always brother. Definitely the most neutral option, and gives a good feel for what can be done to this chassis.

Awesome MT. I am really not into MT racing but this really brings my appetite up for some MT action!

Could be a good option, absolutely!

It's ready for rear steering conversion aswell. Unbelievably realistic can't wait to see what bodies you come up with.

Yes indeed, I briefly touched up on that in the video. I'm not going that route, but it is cool seeing it would be an option.

Maybe you can get a clear version of one of the rtr bodies like the blue one it looks like a cross between a jeep and a dodge ram.

With the SMT10 you had to throw multiple $$$ at it to make it respectable, this is already competitive, and reliable. Nice one bro 👍😏

little did we know 5 months ago when this came out the axles would break quicker then the smt10 axles lol!

You did not talk about the motor mounting . This will reduce torque twist. The sway bar design and the motor/transmission design comes from Keven Hetmanski and his king of crusher chassis. He suddenly stopped making this chassis after a few prototypes. Now we know why. I was bugging Keven for months as to when he would sell me this chassis. He finally told me to stop bugging him.We will all be better off though because the Losi factory can offer this awesome truck for $599. It would cost as much as $2000 to build a custom. In the end, thanks Keven.

Hi Gerry! They sell it as a tenth scale, but you know how it is, everyone has a different definition of what that actually is.I believe this is a TRUE tenth scale though, where I'd classify the SMT as 12th scale. Thank you for watching!

Are the body mounts adjustable for different style bodies?

Of course this drops when I just spent 600 on two smt10 rtr for my son and I. Dam it.

@@Firewlkre yeah but now two of these need so many hop ups to be durable enough my ten year old can bash it. I mean right out of the box the dam thing doesn’t even drive right. You can’t turn the wheel fully and the servo saver is a joke. I’ve never thought you wouldn’t be able to steer fully.

Do you if you can mount a front axial on the rear to make it 4 wheel steering???

Do you still need a reciever for the Firma stuff?, thought It was a all in one. Keep us posted. Think I need one of these !. Lol great video

That's just one model of their esc, they make a bunch of different setups but I'm curious the same thing if they used the combo esc.

Is the esc plate large enough to run a spektrum 150a esc?

Does it look like it will fit a 40 or a 42mm motor?

You can mount different wheels and tires, but you do need quite a large offset to make it happen. I don't think you will have a better truck, technically. I will paint the inside of my rims black to obscure them more, I really like them from an engineering point of view. Thank you for watching!

He is going for the "Spektrum Firma 3150Kv" wich is part of the RTR, but then goes with the "Firma 130A Brushless Smart ESC, 2S-4S SPMXSE1130"? The RTR ESC is a "Spektrum Smart Firma 130A ESC" 2-3S Version? Thanks for your help, I want on of these so bad ;-)

Indeed, 4s capable ESC that isn’t recommended to be used over 3S in the LMT. I hope this helps!
