Just found your channel, enjoyed the video, but I gotta say... I have 2 Loriers, 1 for a little over a year and 1 for a little under, and NEITHER one has a crystal that looks like yours my friend! :) I've never polished one of them, and the other I polished once... Banged it into a white-painted pole at work and half the crystal turned white (on the day I got it no less!). I don't think that I particularly baby the watches, the bracelets sure look like hell, but maybe I've just gotten good at sparing the dome from being domed. Also, I believe that Lorenzo and Lauren, the founders, do the QA themselves and then sign the thank you cards they send with them in NYC before shipping them. Cheers!

Outschtanding, honest review! 👍🏽Given. 100 percent with you on the crystal. Not so much with ya on the bracelet. I really enjoy the light show put on by the flat brushed links, I only wish there was less dramatic taper, giving even more light reflecting surface. I'm looking forward to the release of Ver. 4 with the upgraded luminous acrylic bezel insert instead of the retro-correct aluminum.

I have a Gemini which I wear everyday. I have gotten people giving me compliments about this watch. To me it is a great watch. I do not baby my watch and never have I scratched the crystal as bad as you have. I do yard work, remodeling and golf with this watch. Before paying a watch you have to love the brand. It seems you were not in love with the brand but love the vintage looks. That is not enough. I would suggest taking another go with the watch. Trust me you will get the reaction you were looking for. Great video.

I thought you could use Polywatch to buff out the scratches in the crystal?

how about the movement? Uni directional rotor?

Have you tried polish the Crystal? Also not a massive fan of the bracelet but it goes with so many other options

I have not tried polishing the hesalite yet. I do have a tube of polywatch to clean up the crystal though. I just wanted to show what it's like after a few months of regular wear because I'm not sure if everyone is going to want to get polywatch and buff out the crystal.

Thanks for being honest about domed hesalite. I’ve been suspect of domed crystals in general.

Domed plastic/hesalite is not for me. I learned that from this watch. Domed sapphire I have no issue with. I have the Oris divers 65 and have had zero issues with scratching.

I don't view a lot of these watches I've bought as part of the collection honestly. There are very few that I'd consider to be part of my collection.

Poly watch buffs those scratches out in 10 seconds. No problem.

My man, why were you so abusive to that poor, defenseless acrylic crystal! Haha!! I’m one of those “acrylic fanboys.” But then again, I have an uncanny ability to not get scratches on my watches (heck, I’ve gone nearly a decade without my smartphone in a case and I’ve never cracked a screen). So, I’m probably the target audience for a crystal that ya need to baby. Haha. The gilt version is so freaking cool. I’ve kind of played with the idea of picking one up again. I miss it! Also, I wish there was some massive diamond protected by lasers you could steal while wearing those black gloves. They are begging to be taken on a good heist! ;)

I don’t think I’ve ever cracked a screen on a smart phone, but I’ve cracked a screen protector. I also use a case. I’m always moving mics around and micing up shit in the box of doom and reaching under things because I’ve dropped it and I’ll inevitably bump stuff. This just taught me tha even though Hesalite is what was on the original moon watch, that is not the option for me. Sapphire sandwich is the route to go because I cannot handle the babying it takes. All just a learning experience. And I have a bag of these black gloves, so come on over, I’ll lend you a pair and we can go on a heist of the library where we go in, sign up for library cards, and take books out and return them on time. Deal?

I have the Lorier Neptune and absolutely love the acrylic crystal!! So much more visually appealing than sapphire! By the way could you stop saying “it’s going to be” all the time, it’s really irritating as you are not talking about anything happening in the future, but about the present. Even I, as a non-native English speaker know that is incorrect. 😊 Otherwise, great review!

Citizen movement

Neptune a waste of money for me. Fit like a flat dish plate on my wrist, large crown dug into hand, lugs too straight and long, dots overfilled, crystal distortion. The Neptune was gushed over by many big channels and I wanted to like it but do not recommend it at all.
