As far as I'm concerned you can't beat the warmth and distortion that plexiglass gives you. The Neptune is a beautiful tool watch. I've just ordered the Neptune 3 blue dial and can't wait to recieve it. Their website is really slick and their sales system is a joy to use. Great review.

I got the black gilt

One thing I really like about Lorier as a brand is that their logo doesn't scream "micro brand". It's just a well designed logo/font that will age gracefully with the brand as it (hopefully) grows and flourishes.

I just bought the same watch so looking forward to checking this out. I like that they made an original design but still have the vintage feel. I have a couple steinharts which are nice but they get zero points for original designs

Have to say, this watch and the acrylic crystal really have exceeded my expectations. I held off buying one until the second re-stock of the third generation. I was always hesitant about the crystal. The crystal is gorgeous. It looks flat out better than a sapphire without question. It’s been described as a warm look and it is a fitting description. And the few scratches on the crystal were gone in a minute with polywatch. If I have one complaint it’s the closing of the clasp. I cannot get it to close quickly and reliably unless it’s set on the last micro adjust hole.

People complain about the crystal but not on a Speedy Pro.... I think the plexi crystal gives the watch a lot of soul. the hands and dial are executed perfectly and nice lume. Way better than Baltic Aquascaphe which is a far more expensive watch.

Have the version 2. Have a ton of divers but nothing as good as the Neptune . The bracelet is amazing.Absolute quality. If you’re lucky enough to get one you will not be disappointed .

Great review man. Watched this video right before putting in the purchase. Especially enjoyed that BB58 comparison since that is my most wanted watch to get in the future. Very excited for this watch to arrive.

That’s such a nice version, I’d love to get that on wrist. You’re right-can’t quite put it into words yet it just works from a mood perspective.

Incredible watches...I’ve got a hydra and a Neptune. I used to require sapphire....I almost want acrylic on everything now. Also, with as many broken screws as I’ve encountered this year...I’d rather pins or pin and collar bracelets now. Nothing worse than an unusable bracelet because of seized screws. Great videos man, wish I’d found ya sooner!

I think between the two, the Baltic in blue gilt will be more beautiful. It’s a gorgeous dial-emotional and deep. For Lorier, the blue gilt won’t be as decadent yet will still be satisfying for sure as it’s just a fantastic watch in general

J S i have the navy gilt lorier and it’s a deep blue. Super classy and IMO better than the Baltic. I had to make the same decision. It’s just timeless sporty “elegance” for $500. I have zero regrets. It’s my favorite watch and my collection ranges from $400 Seikos to my $17k Skydweller!

Amazing watch! Not sure I agree with what you said about sapphire as most people aren't throwing there watch around like their phone. scratches are the main reason sapphire is used. That being said I'm sure they didn't go with sapphire for a reason and isn't a deal breaker by any means.

How loud is the rotor? Does the noise bother you?

He is not bothered with rotor noise, he owns several watches of the same brand, in his other videos. It is the few reasons why I am not sold on the Neptune 3, rotor noise, plus the plexi glass, and aluminum insert for $499. The design is great no complains about it, the outcome overall is acceptable considering it is Made in China.

Hi Maria! Absolutely recommend it. They also have a skin diver at Lorier I would take a look at! There is almost nothing missing from this piece and it seems to work in proportions for almost anyone. Knife Watch As you can likely tell from my avatar I’m a bit of a Rotary fan. I’ve recently taking a liking to their Tank inspired range: GS05280-70, GS05283-01, GS05284/04. Bit of a fan of classic style watches. Hence why I love Lorier.

It's an emotional watch! LOL. I cant decide between getting this or their Gemini Chrono in blue.

Always subjective but if the lugs were a little shorter, crown smaller and hands slimmer this would be perfection.

@@watches. what’s there to like about ? It’s gonna get scratched up pretty quickly not practical at this price point. For collectors may be they gonna baby sit it, wear it for dinner etc, it’s not a watch you wear it on beach

@@tahirmehmood1670 the advantages are it will never break or crack. I’ve seen cracked Patek Philippe and Rolex watches that ruin the value of the entire watch and are dangerous with broken glass everywhere. It takes what, 60-90 seconds to clean acrylic crystals? They’ll never break ever.
