Lorier Gemini 🐼 Not-a-Review

What is up, my watch friends?!? So, check this out… We’re looking at a white panda Lorier Gemini today. This is the second Lorier I’ve gotten to experience-and I am becoming a fan of this brand! For this Gemini, I like the movement, bracelet, and dial … but, there are a few things that I’d definitely change about this watch (e.g., the caseback and the price). What do you think though?

I like the solid case back, it gives the watch a "sportier" charm. Everyone and their mom is rocking an exhibition case back these days anyway. Also, I prefer acrylic over sapphire here. I know I'm in the minority but, in my line of work I'm always banging my watch on hard surfaces, and I've cracked a sapphire crystal before. For me, I'll take some scratches in exchange for more durability.

You can polish out scratches with polywatch. It works very very well and they include it in the box.

Another great looking piece Josh , would like to add an Lorier to the collection in the future at some point - Also agree they missed a trick by putting a solid case back on instead of an exhibition case back to show off that ST-19 ............ P.S. you can share the important watch secrets :D

I prefer the sapphire as well, but if you look at the sapphire side by side with the Hesolite, the Hesolite version is clear all the way to the edge of the crystal, vs the sapphire has a ring around the edge of the crystal that is not translucent. 🤷‍♂️

That's pretty cool. I kinda want to see them side-by-side one day to compare that. Are they the exact same watch aside from having different crystals? I might need to find an AD so I can go look at them in person.

If they made this watch or any of their watches in sapphire I'd own one. I would never be able to wear it with acrylic. Id polywatch the crystal right off of it. My first speedmaster was acrylic and after 3 months i had to sell it for the sapphire version.

Yep, I'm with you. Hopefully they offer a sapphire version in the future. Or, speaking of the speedmaster, maybe they could offer both and let the buyer pick which one they want. I'm guessing most would choose sapphire. That makes me wonder though... I'm curious how many of each Omega sells of the speedmaster? For example, I was recently on the phone with a Sinn AD and learned that 80% of 104 buyers prefer the stick indices over the arabic numerals (at least in their rough estimation).

Nope, but that's funny. I'll need to go listen to him and see if I can hear it. Some of his movies are hilarious, so if nothing else it'll make for a fun movie night. 😋
