As a game, it was designed of course to be a hotbed of politics and military action but it still strikes me that the contrivances admittedly pretty good writers come up with always ring so true.

I hope that some day we get a mechwarrior/battletech game that takes place during the star league era. The lore always talks about how superior the tech was during this time in history. Would be nice if we could experience it.

for CBT, there is a Star League era based readout (2750?), as well as a scenario book ( i forgot the names tho ). for MW:O, there are some SL era mechs already, like the Black Knight or the Kintaro EDIT: and the good ole King Crab ofc. iirc, the SL tech is to be rated between the 3050 IS tech and Clan, but don't quote me on that.

Well you already have the star league era tech with ER large, ER PPC, Medium pulse, large pulse, ECM, Beagle, Artemis, Endo steel, ferro fibrous, XL engines, double heatsinks, NARC, small pulse and possibly MASC.

I don't know if anybody has commented on this, but the word Hegemony is pronounced with the usual english "j" sounding dipthong for the "ge". In other words Hej-emony, or hej-amony. Depending on which syllabol your trying to put the emphisis on.

Double checked this and the American version is indeed the J sound. However British pronunciation is with the Ge sound. Apparently I should be Huh-geh-mony instead heh-geh-mony. I doubt neither is wrong but I will use the version for my language since it would be odd suddenly saying aluminum instead of aluminium or 'erb instead of herb and then reverting back to my own native pronouncing of words :)

These maps can be found the battletech wiki called Sarna.net. You might have to look around a little but they have lots of pretty large maps showing the entire inner sphere and specific factions by era as well.
