You talk about vocal layering, which is true, but it's all done live, as Eurovision requires 100% live vocals. There were 3 live backing singers located on the side of the stage to help with the chorus (6 people on stage is the maximum allowed in Eurovision).

totally agree !! Sweden as well as the ohter scandinavian coutries captured pretty well what Eurovision is about & they always bring on good songs ! We in France are totally idiots .... the last good song we had was Amir with "j'ai cherché"

Personally i would also add the 2015 entry for Russia from Polina Gagarina with "A Million Voices" the writing is maybe a little bit cheesy (especially in comparison to Russia's political behavior at the time back then) but campiness and cheesy’ness is just one of the biggest cornerstones who carry’s the whole ESC event/spectacle every year since 64 year...) I would also add (my personal all time favorite, but unfortunately very underrated) to the list: Latvia’s 2015 (amazing but sadly ahead of his time) entry song „Love Injected“ performed by „Aminata“ m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/X6mnxrqblaqumZs.html

Petra and Måns' "Love Love Peace Peace" is a lot better to watch when somebody has watched a ton of Eurovision videos, because it´s so much reference humour that would be lost on somebody new to the contest. When you have seen a lot of enties, it will make you recognize stuff, and it will be so much funnier. Their other act "What is Eurovision?", is much better for a new viewer, adapted to the American audience, as a broadway parody tutorial on what this contest is all about.

This was my first Eurovision Song Contest back in 2012. She won for Sweden that year.

She will perform this year with a new song called 'Tattoo'

There's a reason why we (Sweden) are nr 3 behind the US and UK in the world when it comes to music export. :)

Euphoria is considered to be one of the best winners in Eurovision history. It tops poll every year since 2012. Sweden are behind Ireland with the most Eurovision wins at 6.

She is amazing, we swedes know our music sometimes 🥰

2012. First year I startet following Eurovision and my favourite song since then. Her music is amazing 😍

For another swedish eurovision entry try #Undo by #SannaNielsen, very powerful. I think she ended up in 3:rd place in the competition 2014.

She won BTW - you should react to the whole Eurovision Contest from start to end including the voting and if you can watch the UK BBC versions and full on madness watch Lordi Hard Rock Hallaular (soz on spellings)

Fascinating how she managed to keep singing moving as she did!

But MÅNS ZELMERLÖW and his "Heroes", was praised all over the world (and he won of course the whole Chabang with good margines)!!!

In Eurovision (until 2019) all vocals were live. The rules don't allow pre recorded vocals neither leading singers nor backing vocalists. The arrangements you hear probably come from the music. This year due to coronavirus, the rules were changed, and next year pre recorded backing vocals are allowed.
