LORD OF THE LOST are together as a band since 2009,so they're already an experienced live band who played countless festivals and tours all over the world,and they originally emerged from the German Gothic- and Metal-scene!🖤✨️ Even the metal legends IRON MAIDEN chose LOTL to go on tour together with them,which is another proof for the thrilling quality the guys deliver - and this year they were chosen to go on tour with Iron Maiden again! Lord of the Lost's genre can't be described with words,as they have always been known for reinventing themselves on every new album - but their magical soundscapes often include Dark Rock and Dark Metal,Synth,80's vibes,Goth and a flamboyant Glam attitude! They're able to set heaviness and catchiness to music,but at times emphasize melancholy and emotive depth a lot. Singer Chris Harms is known for his outstanding vocal range that enables him to deliver both haunting clean vocals AND obliterating growls,and you would be mesmerized to see the variety in all of their songs! Beyond that,Lord of the Lost have always said that EMPATHY is their religion - this is why the guys always speak up against grievances in society and helped people in need countless times. Just recently they took a stupid hate comment from someone who wanted to spread negativity online,and printed it on a new merchandise collection - and you know what? All money they earn with this collection will be donated to an organization that works on the reforestation of the rain forest! These five guys are just the most lovely,humble and caring human beings,and they deserve ANY success in this world and all love they can get from the Eurovision fans!💕✨️ "Blood & Glitter" is an irresistibly catchy anthem of life and equality,telling us to embrace the contrasts within ourselves rather than denying who we are,and emphasizing that unity should be our purpose instead of hate and seclusion: "We are all from the same blood". Now we as the Losties will give our hearts and souls to achieve a great Eurovision result together with them,and I'm sure outstandingly creative musicians like them deserve the TOP 10 - especially because they will enhance the staging once more for Liverpool! Their music might be dark and enigmatic,but the message behind all of this is pure love - I'd absolutely recommend you to listen to other of their songs such as "Morgana", "Black Halo" and "Priest",as they usually blow away all people who delve into their back catalogue. They have a huge fanbase here in Europe which only got bigger since they supported Iron Maiden on their tour last year. I am so happy we are sending an established band this year. For the sound, the studio fucked it up for all participants. And they definitly will upscale. Watch their winner's performance, it was much better

It's such a fantastic song and finally something different from the usual pop/radio songs. It's fast, it's slow, soft and heavy and the deep voice is amazing. There is so much going on in this song. Love it! 😍🇩🇪

Thanx for your reaction and your thoughts. Lord of the Lost: Dark rock meets goth meets glam metal meets synths including a perfect mixture of clean and harsh vocals down to growls. They are a rabbit hole with so many different styles and moods. They recently supported Iron Maiden across Europe and will do so this year again. So they they definitely know how to play a huge stage. They are great musicians and released beside their regular albums three acoustic „Swan Songs“ longplayer with a classic ensemble. Their newest album „Blood and Glitter“ was surprisingly released end of last year with only one week of preselling and hit #1 of the German album charts. Voyager sound very differnt. I don't under you think it sounds like the same.?No of course not. Voyager sounds like a popsong to me.

The problem with the staging is that ADR/NDR had very strict rules which prevented the band from having the exact stage show they wanted. Plus the stage was small considering there were 5 guys on stage. One thing they want to do is ensure that all 5 get time in the spotlight. As the singer said, it's not just him & 4 guys on instruments but 5 equal members of the band. They're trying to find a synthetic blood they can use, as per their official video made last year, when the Blood and Glitter album was released. In an interview from a month ago, they said they'd not yet found one that which had the required viscosity & characteristics to do what they wanted. Having seen their videos for many songs, they come across as being rather artsy so I'm not concerned about the stage show. As for his voice, I wouldn't be surprised if there was an issue with the audio of the national final because none of the acts sounded as good as normal. I've heard them sing Blood and Glitter live several times & they were all better. He's actually got a great voice, with very expressive clean vocals, impressive distortion & growls that will chill your soul. He's very talented, & people don't realise how difficult it is to do distortion & especially growls that won't ruin your vocal folds. He's got an excellent technique that will ensure he can continue to sing like this for decades. I can't tell you how delighted I am that we've got 2 great metal songs in Eurovision this year, but they're both from different subgenres. Voyager is great but LotL are even better, imo, as they're chameleons, with each album taking them in a different metal direction. With previous albums they've been more industrial or gothic metal. The Blood and Glitter album (yes, their ESC entry is the title track) sees them move a bit towards glam metal, with elements from 1970/80s electronic music, such as synths & electric drums.
