"Blood and Glitter" is actually the title of a photobook by Mick Rock who documented the British Glam Rock scene in the 70s. Chris owns this book and it inspired the title and the overall sound of the album - and the outfits ;-)

Thank you for your great reaction! I'm very glad they will go to Liverpool for Germany as it's an amazing band. They just do their own thing no matter if musically or stylewise. And they are so down to earth, nice guys with a great view onto the world as well. And they are really looking forward to the ESC :) As for the glitter on stage: They wanted some, but weren't allowed as the winning act got a glitter shower at the winning performance. So perhaps check the winning performance out, too, as it is even greater than this one as the singer is far more relaxed and the whole band just has a lot of fun on stage :) For his hair: He has long hair but not that long. It's a hairpiece the stylists worked into his own hair. And Lord of the Lost have a solid fanbase in Europe, were even on tour with Iron Maiden last year and will be again this year in June. They aren't newcomers anymore. And hey, we can always hope for some points from finland as even the jury-votes from Finland in the preelection were 12 points. :D Some points are better than zero points. :D And as the band itself always says: There is a winner but no losers at the ESC as it's such a great honor and chance to even take part :)

I love Michael's song, it was so beautiful, but I just can't listen to it anymore, even for 10 seconds. It's enough to make me burst into tears. Just thinking about the song has me close to tears. He made a powerful song and he should be proud of that. I know it's a controversial opinion, but I loved Jendrik. "I don't feel hate" was my #2 that year (behind Portugal). This year Germany is my #3 so far (behind Finland and Czechia).

I don't think there will be a split in televoters between Australia and Germany, Australia is more classic rock, something you'd hear on the radio, I really enjoy the song don't get me wrong but I think lotl work better with the esc and finland falls into another category so I think both of them will get a lot of votes I don't think germany will win but it's a great song, great performance (they couldn't do that much on the small stage so be prepared for a great show in liverpool) and an incredible band, they made covers of the songs from the other contestants and even said everyone is a winner after the show I think people are going to like them a lot and winning isn't everything

I'm a metalhead & I've adored Eurovision so nice childhood. I like pretty much any genre of music but metal is so special to me. Fun fact: Chris Harms, the singer, was interviewed by am American guy who's in the music business in technical roles. He interviews anyone who's involved in music, singers, producers, composers, reactors on KZread, vocal.coachrs, etc. He's interviewed Chris Harms twice, & they chat about anything under the sun. The American, being in the business, knows about Eurovision & he wanted gossip about the potential German entries this year, & he wanted Chris to tell him how bad they were. Chris refused to badmouth them, saying he admired them all for their musical skill & their songs were good. He steered the conversation around to Patty Gurdy being in a pirate/folk metal band. He was very respectful, & that's something I appreciate. The group have tried to enter Eurovision before but the German delegation wasn't interested. Chris Harms was involved in a way last year. As well as composing & performing, he's also a producer & he produced last year's song Alive by Eros Atomus which came 5th in the national final. Atomus' cellist let him down & he asked Chris Harms if he knew anyone who could take over. Harms offered himself as he plays a number of instruments, including cello. So he was onstage in the national final but he kept it secret because he didn't want to take attention from Atomus. He certainly comes across as a decent, thoughtful guy who's passionate about music & loves Eurovision. Blood & Glitter is my #1 this year, & is one of my favourite Eurovision entries ever.

This will NOT end last, the rock/alt people will get behind this song. It for surenisna direct response to the lacklustre entries of recent years, and I think a good showcase of German metal scene, think Rammstein, Neue Deutsche Härte, Wacken... And the massive screwup last year with Electric Callboy. You're right this IS Eurovision, and will defo be able to rival Finland.

'We so happy we could die' is a reference to Lady Gaga, the Singer of Lord of the lost is a huge Lady Gaga Fan

No they dont sing that they are happy to die really...the song is not about death and blood. It is more over we are so happy we could die, i'm so happy i could cry, i'm so angry i could scream. You know. It is a very happy song. Everyone have the same blood. We are all the same. The life is full of blood and glitter. It give good times (sweet). And it give bad times (bitter). But it is important that you don't look from left to right or under to upper. Go straight your way. Und when you fall deep. Stand up. You have maybe broken wings, but you can learn to fly with it. You struggle, come on and deal with it. You can. You can choose with way you go and you can change it.

Don’t worry there’ll be glitter in Liverpool. They weren’t allowed to use any in the NF show cause it was reserved for the end when they announce the winner

Thanx for your interesting reaction and your thoughts. Lord of the Lost: Dark rock meets goth meets glam metal meets synths including a perfect mixture of clean and harsh vocals down to growls. They are a rabbit hole with so many different styles and moods. They recently supported Iron Maiden across Europe and will do so this year again. So they they definitely know how to play a huge stage. They are great musicians and released beside their regular albums three acoustic „Swan Songs“ longplayer with a classic ensemble. Their newest album „Blood and Glitter“ was surprisingly released end of last year with only one week of preselling and hit #1 of the German album charts. What the song is about: kzread.info/dash/bejne/naqjsZacZqivY8o.html Greetz from a German-Dutch concert photographer

BTW The correct reply to "Wie geht's dir" is not "Gut. Und du?" but "Gut, und dir?" ;) The reason is that "Wie geht's dir" literally means "How does it go to you" (wie = how/ geht = goes/ es = it/ dir = to you). So "Und dir" is a shorter way of saying "Und wie geht es dir?"

"I dont know if europe is ready for this". Well, iceland scored 10th place with Hatari and I think they were a LOT harsher than Lord of the Lost. So I think europe is quite "ready" for it. People also seem to forget about Lordi, AWS and quite a few more hard rock/metal acts that did quite well at eurovision! So yeah I think they'll do fine

I mostly listen to Metal and Rock music, but I’ve been following Eurovision since 2017. Because it’s both very queer (to me at least, mostly concerning clothing, make up and gender) and because I adore when music transcends genre and the ESC is a nice opportunity to break out of my usual playlists while being entertained. And there’s some real gems! Went to a Blind Channel concert last year, amazing. Not to mention Måneskin or Hatari. There would’ve been a nice rock song from Estonia this year which I really liked (“Venom” by Ollie) but sadly it didn’t make it through the national. Needless to say I’m rooting for LotL and Voyager this year 😁

The other couple was Israeli and German. Now you are other European and German. Lord of the Lost are the best decision that they did. The viewers choose them with 146 points. And Chris did the song Satelite in the finals. They sing only in English and this is song they wrote themselves. I didn't even saw the reaction.

Oh no! You're the second reactors I've seen that interpreted "we're so happy, we could die" as "we're happy that we're going to die"/"we're happy about dying"! It's possible that they shouldn't have chosen an English-specific idiom that is so easy to misunderstand 😅 Whoops! Now I'm afraid that's going to lose them a lot of votes 😢

the lyrics total oposite of negative , its about falling down and standing up and become better against all odds. " Its about were all humans " we are all from the same blood" means were humans and it does not matter where you from. Thats what Blood stands for and Glitter , the glamor and how we shine and express ourselfs
