I adore this pair of dancers.They were together with the clarinet player in NYC.

This is quite a time capsule. I believe Tuba Skinny was formed just weeks after this video was shot, many of the players having performed with each other busking in small groups or in Loose Marbles. Chance Bushman looks young and not quite as cool as he later became. He was a dance teacher and competitor in Lindy dance contests. Chance and several of his partners often danced at Tuba Skinny gigs for years. I believe Shaye had not met Erika Lewis when this video was made. It is remarkable to hear Shaye Cohn soloing here, for she had not been playing cornet very long. But Shaye is Shaye, and she can do anything, it seems.

Shaye comes from a musical family (her grandfather was Al Cohn, tenor saxophonist) and was studying classical piano at uni until she got fed up with it. She is one extremely talented musician.

And there's Shaye and, I suspect, Barnabus, in an early appearance.

Not Barnabus. Only Shaye, Tuba (Skinny) and maybe guitar are still around
