Loose Marbles with Chance & Amy - Video 4

Музыка

Great music and dancing at the corner of Royal and Toulouse in the French Quarter, New Orleans on a sunny Saturday, 7 March 2009. The fabulous dancers are Chance Bushman and Amy Johnson.

One of the best recorded performances in the history of this medium to my taste. Here I am, over a decade later listening in the same state of rapture if not more so, to Ms. Cohn, Mr. Jones, Loose Marbles and the unmatched Chance & Amy. Thanks for everything. And I mean Everything.

I enjoy it all so much. Love Erika's singing also. Such fun music in a age where most attempts are just noise. Love this. All of it. Thanks to all the players.

WOW! Beautiful performance. Jelly Roll would have been 'mightily' pleased. The harmonizing by the bass brass, cornet and trombone is first-rate. I listen over and over; it is a perfect composition. Does the group sell its CDs online?

@drjazzisme, many of the band members here are still in New Orleans and playing in different bands now. Definitely look out for Tuba Skinny and Meschiya Lake and the Li'l Big Horns.

Well after having watched several videos of this band I reckon it would be worth visiting New Orleons just to find and listen to them if they're still playing there?..DWM..England UK.

Unfortunately the band is no longer together. You might try Louisiana Music Factory and see if they have any of their CDs. Good luck.

I've now seen videos of Shaye covering eleven years. I'm not canny enough to understand how she has evolved musically in that time, but she doesn't seem eleven minutes older in terms of physical aging.
