Implanting a loop recorder is a very simple procedure taking a total of about 5 minutes to complete. Once implanted the loop recorder will record heart arrhythmias for two years and send data remotely to us for interpretation.

I just had mine 2 weeks ago after a stroke also. Did the implant go about an inch or so under where your incision is? Because I'm getting minor pain about an inch or so lower than the incision and I'm wondering if that is where the implant is actually sitting? I can't see it at all so not sure if it's that or my actual heart in pain

More information than I got from two cardiologists. Having be an engineer for 35 years I want to know the details. Too many doctors wnat to just "tell" you that you need it. Or for you to decide without any information. I believe the loop recorder suggested for me will download the info thru a bluetooth device and send that info to the clinic. How manufactures of this type device are there. My Dr. said new ones last 5 years?
