    I know what you mean about the dials. I’ve had two T120s with twin dials. Now I think the single dial looks pretty good in the centre. At 216kg it’s lighter and easy to live with. The trade in value gets less compared with the T100/T120 but if it’s a forever bike that’s not an issue. The seat is only an inch lower than the T120, but even so I’m planning to have it improved. Other than that it’s a fine bike for riding around smaller roads and lanes here in 🇬🇧.

    I agree with everything. Also, a sixth gear would be nice. First thing I changed was the headlight bulb to an LED. Huge difference! Added some Viking throw over bags. Next is probably a seat. Or switching up to a scrambler 1200. Decisions… Overall after 8k miles I’d say it’s an easy going and forgiving bike for having reasonable fun in the back roads.

    I've just started riding and bought a 2022 Street Twin here in England. It's such an easy bike to ride even as a novice. Being 5' 8" tall with a 30" inseam I can comfortably flat foot it. I've added bar end mirrors and the Bedlam slash cut exhaust and plan a few mods but it's fantastic as is.

    I read something on triumph rat forum on someone that wanted to put the dual T100 clocks on his street twin. Not sure if it’s possible ecu difference but worth a look. I have a ‘22 Street Twin as well bought in July’21. No problems… love it! Ride on! 🤟

    If you not disabling O2 sensors, which I would not recommend you will waist just time with tunning. Bike has ECU with adjusting AFR in perfect every time and you milage per galon is good. I played with this bike my own alot and install AFR gauge and learned it auto tunes itself using fuel trims and MAF sensor. Even you make a change to the map and not disabling O2 sensors it will do nothing, it will keep adjusting for perfect AFR. Also if you disable O2 then you will loss alot more like what if atmospheric presure chjanges or altitude, bike will have no knowing and you will ride much wor, not to say engine logevity. Leave it as is and if you what more HP get Speed twin, it perfect bike. Also it no need remaping if you install x pipe or high flow filter, it will adapt itself.

    Thank you for this video. I live in SE Ohio where we have some great mtorocyle roads and just across the Ohio River from West Virginia which also has great motorcycle roads. Kentucky isn't too far either. SO we travel some highways to get where we want to go and I hardly ever go foaster than 65 MPH. I was wondering how much vibrations there is through the bars, seat and feet at such speeds. Thanks again,ride safe and enjoyu every journey.

    I wish my Triumph Trident had the same gas tank as the speed twin 900. What I hate is the plastic inserts on the tank on mine. I would like to paint them gloss black to match the gloss black on the rest of the tank. Remove the red stripes which I think spoil the looks.

    Hi, very interesting Video. I'm going to buy one of these speed twin 900 my 2024. I have one big question: what about the engine overheating during the hot summer? Specially in a traffic jam? I live in Italy and summer could be VERY hot (like in NYC I guess...). I heard about some issues about this. Could you tell me something about it? Thanks in advance!

  • @merxmoto

    @merxmoto

    13 күн бұрын

    Hi Jorjo! I wouldn't be too worried about overheating, but I would say it does get hot. Nothing like a harley or indian cruiser. Those get REALLY hot. What helped was wrapping the exhaust. But either way, I wouldn't say it's something to worry about.

    You told us that the speed twin 900 would not be that good on the highways but you didn't say why. Why? Is it too slow to go 75 mph all day? If so, what about a sprocket change? Or maybe you don't recommend it because of the lack of wind protection. Couldn't you just add a small windshield?

  • @merxmoto

    @merxmoto

    3 ай бұрын

    In terms of it being stock I wouldn't want to ride it on the highway all day, but at the end of the day it comes down to preference. Sprocket changes could be a good idea, especially with no 6th gear. A windshield will definitely help if the rider is also ok with the look that addition would bring to the bike. I think a 6th gear and more power would have me feel more comfortable on the highway with it, but that's just me.
