I'm looking to combine my love of motorcycles, fixing and modifying, along with an appreciation for photography, travel and history. Over time, I'll be compiling some DIY videos to share my experiences with my dear Triumph Street Twin.

Probably quicker just to wait for and catch a bus
🤣
Ride it in sports mode. Much more quicker than you know
I know this is off-topic, but why don't you cut the frame? The bike would look better
I'm thinking about it. Maybe in the future.
It’s called a Zero, because that’s what it’s worth on KBB. You’ll never be able to trade it in, and Zero doesn’t stand behind their product. They have known manufacturing defects that they won’t cover.
Wich stand are you using in this video?
It's a paddock stand I got on revzilla
Cap kaha se li bro
It's a company in Thailand. I'll have to check it again
Thank you. With all the madness going on it the world, a relaxing night ride was just what I needed 🙂
Sometimes that's all we need
You should have bought GT 650 instead of interceptor 650 and mods it's handlebar
Why?
How many kms did you travel within 23 mins?
I'm not sure to be honest
Don't rent out your bike with this company Riders-Share. I was renting out my bike for several yrs until a oppurtunist, liar renter borrowered my bike and returned it damaged. Hole and carved marks on my side fenders. Jacked up clutch & gear. Renter changed my bike's tires without my permission on an expensive shop and Riders-share charged me for it without telling me after the bike's tires was changed. Very unprofessional. Asked the company for insurance claims but refused it and deleted my account. Very deceptive company. Dont rent it out unless you want your bike ruined someday and you will pay for the renter's mischevious, irresponsible use of your bike.
Damn! I'm so sorry that sucks! What an awful experience. I hope you are having a better experience now that you've recovered your bike and have kept it for yourself. Stay safe.
Where did you buy from?

Thank you for this helpful review with some good insights. Maybe I missed it but what is your body hight and do you feel cramped on longer rides, considering the low seat hight of the bike?
Not really tbh. I'm 5'11 190. I think handlebars and seat cushion dictate the comfort. I changed the seat to a crafton atlier seat and british customs retro bars. All seemed to fit and be very comfortable for hundreds of miles
@@merxmoto Cheers 👍
Hey Merx- sweet ride man. I've got a question for you. The bobbins you have from Motone, did you have to do any other work on your Street Twin to install them? I called Triumph dealers here around Orange County and they couldn't find any from Triumph, so I'd love to pick some up I just want to adjust expectations. How easy were they to install? Thanks man! By the way, I've got a 2022 Street Twin myself
Pretty east install! Take a look! kzread.info/dash/bejne/qnx1rNChktXVpKg.html
@@merxmoto thanks man!
While they are not as popular as they used to be (standard style bikes), they are probably the best all around street bikes that you can get. They don't do anything great, but they do everything that you need a street bike to be able to do very well. They might not have the speed or stopping ability of the sport bikes, but they are almost certainly better in the everyday ability to handle the nasty situations that occur on the streets. Less likely to get you into a bad situation, and better able to get you through it alive.
Just picked up my 24 Nightster S What a hoot it is to ride! I’m gonna add the bags and detachable windshield.
Nicceeeee enjoy!
Honda SP CB shine 125 அதுகு போடுங்கோ
Can’t help ya but how you liking the YSS shocks?
So far so good! I'm looking to get the front forks as well. I hear that is the pairing that makes a world of difference
I'm at 14k miles on mine and I notice when I take off in first if I get to higher revs (actually get on it a little) then it sputters out. Is that a sign of needing new plugs?
Doesn't hurt to check. I'd look to see the coloring at the bottom. How long are you in first gear before you switch to second?
@@merxmoto It really depends. If I'm being aggressive I'll go a bit higher in the revs but not red-line. That's when it sputters. I bought some new plugs because I'm fairly certain it needs them either way lolol. Hope you have a good day bud.
Hi. Do you remember what tank bag model you have? Thank you in advance.
It's a trip machine bag. I believe they have one model.
there were a group of engineering students that added four alternators to an electric motorcycle and it extended the range by approximately ten percent. engineering professors helped the students achieve this. it’s interesting that this is suppose to be indescribable by known physics. but works perfectly fine with yet to be known, physics. it would be great to be able to travel greater distances on an electric motorcycle. a range extender. presently, i really like the energica with its outstanding battery capacity (range) and level three tesla dc fast charging capabilities. i hope Zero Motorcycles will begin to integrate level three dc fast charging capabilities soon. for those of us that absolutely love charging quickly and maximizing ride time, while simultaneously minimizing charge time.
It would be cool to see the continued technology here. I'm sure they are working on it but our infrastructure needs to meet these needs. Hopefully the future is bright! And efficient
I really want to build a hybrid motorcycle. a series hybrid. meaning, its electric, with a fuel powered range extender.
I have been riding a 2016 Zero SR for approximately one year and i absolutely love this motorcycle. i have been looking for a micro (extremely small, possibly the size of my hand, closed) turbine to run a very small generator, to trickle charge the Zero while i ride the motorcycle, and while it’s parked. i realize this wouldn’t actually charge much, but i would love to do this experiment for my channel. just for fun. and, i love the sound of a turbine spinning at over 100,000 rpm’s =)
Is that an aftermarket cruise control that you added? Is so, does it work well and was it easy to do?
I talk about it a bit here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZ53lsxxfrnMg9o.html It works but nothing like electrical cruise control. There is some slippage in my experience.
Where did you purchase the tank strap?
Raw and Rugged. Based out of India 🇮🇳
@@merxmoto Thanks!
Does the speed twin overheat?
I haven't had overheating issues, but wrapping the exhaust headers like I did really helped.
Hi, very interesting Video. I'm going to buy one of these speed twin 900 my 2024. I have one big question: what about the engine overheating during the hot summer? Specially in a traffic jam? I live in Italy and summer could be VERY hot (like in NYC I guess...). I heard about some issues about this. Could you tell me something about it? Thanks in advance!
Hi Jorjo! I wouldn't be too worried about overheating, but I would say it does get hot. Nothing like a harley or indian cruiser. Those get REALLY hot. What helped was wrapping the exhaust. But either way, I wouldn't say it's something to worry about.
Nice bike! What are those silver gauges that are mounted on your handlebars?
Temp and regular clock. They stopped working so I'll probably get rid of em lol
Just picked up a 2018 on private trade and hazards don’t work. No LEDs so no interference there. Took apart hazard switch, that works. Was able to engage each blinker manually through the hazard switch with test leads. But when I give power to both blinkers through the hazard switch, they won’t work. Any ideas anyone?
The indicators work for turning but not for the hazard switch?
@@merxmoto correct. If I engage the hazards then the blinkers stop working until I turn the key off and on again.
Only straight way😢
If you not disabling O2 sensors, which I would not recommend you will waist just time with tunning. Bike has ECU with adjusting AFR in perfect every time and you milage per galon is good. I played with this bike my own alot and install AFR gauge and learned it auto tunes itself using fuel trims and MAF sensor. Even you make a change to the map and not disabling O2 sensors it will do nothing, it will keep adjusting for perfect AFR. Also if you disable O2 then you will loss alot more like what if atmospheric presure chjanges or altitude, bike will have no knowing and you will ride much wor, not to say engine logevity. Leave it as is and if you what more HP get Speed twin, it perfect bike. Also it no need remaping if you install x pipe or high flow filter, it will adapt itself.
I just bought one of these 😁 awesome bike
Nice
I love the little things you did with the bike, specifically the handlebar wraps, gas cap, and tank bag. Were those options at the time or did you get them aftermarket?
I did them aftermarket! Gas Cap from Motone, handlebars from British Customs and tank bag from Trip machine.
Красавчик потому, что нерусский мотоцикл.
Hi nice Ride! I have just sold my lovely 2022 1200 speed twin, do you think the new 900 will be enough? Ponty Pete!
Definitely. If you sold it because you aren't using all of the 1200 or you think it's too much, you'll find that the 900 is a sweet spot. Enjoy!
@@merxmoto thanks, hope the new 900 has enough to hold my passion with it?
Check for any tears or burns in the wire and check too for grounded wires
Definitely not worth it. Db wise it can’t make much difference
I can't imagine so either. Especially for the price. But you'd be paying for the ability to change the volume on the fly I guess.
Hey man, thanks for the video! I have 2 questions: 1. Where did you get the adapter cable from 2. Why didn't your indicators work at first? Thanks again, it's the only street twin front indicator vidoe there is. Greetings from germany
Hey there! The adapter cables I believe came from motogadget. I had the wires switched so that's why they didn't work at first.
@@merxmoto yeah it happened to me too when I did it last month. All in all pretty easy. Thanks for the vid.

That's for the entire ignition system not the key. The ignition circuit is what it goes to. That includes kickstand injectors coils keyswitch ECU. Some more stuff sometimes even. You have a short. Take the harness off and inspect it.
Great tip on sending owner up date photos on their bike .helps put them at ease
I pickup my new base Nightster next week. Put the Sundownerseat and some engine protectors on it. Technically i couldve gone for the Special regarding the second seat but i dont like the cowl and the hightened handel bar. Looking forward to it❤️❤️❤️
Sweet!! Hope it rides well and you enjoy it! Ride safe!
Thanks for the video. I also ride a Triumph Street Twin (2018), so I'll check out some of your other videos. I found this video because I'm considering sharing my motorcycle through Ride Share or a similar platform. I'm especially interested in how insurance coverage works, both for the owner and the renter. If you do any more videos on the topic, I'd be interested in hearing more about insurance. Good luck with your videos.
Great machine..show engine and exhaust
I can't believe I missed that Scrambler again, dude!
We have to coordinate with Martin ahaha
Just got mine 2022 I love it!!❤ It’s very very spunky when you need it!
Hey man Looks awesome, what is the size of rear tire ?
It's the standard size that was on the stock tire. Didn't try anything new just in case
Harley Davidson nailed it on that design!😮
