I am overjoyed that bringing the audience back hasn't changed the style of the opening monologue. The one thing they seem to have dropped is Steve's always awesome news intro music. And that is definitely missed 😕

Okay the audience thing is fine, BUT SERIOUSLY. Please tell them to wait applauding until Steve has finished his jingle, PLEASE. I know that we are a lot of people who feel very strongly about this. Alternatively turn up the volume of Steve’s jingle so it can be heard through the applause. Please bring back Steven’s jingles. At any cost.

I respectfully disagree Steve's intro has faded into obscurity. It can't be heard anymore over the clapping. The fact that we never knew whether it was gonna be good, bad or downright strange was funny. #bringbackstevesintro

You seriously don't hear "HUARHUARHUARHUAR" like a gosh damn laugh track of fake voices constantly over the jokes..? Even if I KNOW they're real people it sounds so fake.. At least with the crew laughing it seemed personal. You could recognize voices and be like "Hah, they really liked this one!" I miss that a LOT. Also, the punchlines are objectively weaker when constantly chased by "HURHURUHURUR"... I can't be the only one who gets horribly distracted by that?!

You know what I love about this show? Reggie unapologetically eating his salad most nights. I hope you never lose that part with your audience back. He's a manly man eating salad not just while working, but while you're taping a public show. I love the hutzpah that takes and I think it's sets a healthy example for nutrition, for masculinity, and for the workplace. Remember the bad old days when salads and quiche were supposed to not be for 'manly men'? What a stupid idea that was.

My boss wouldn't stand for me doing that at a meeting and I'm not even being recorded for the public. In my line of work it would be akin to putting your feet on the desk - you just don't do it unless you're trying to give a big fuck you to the boss. I guess the state that gave us silicon valley and all the perks that entailed would be different in a lot respects. Better, I'd say. The rest of us proles gotta dance.

Steve's jingle isn't even a jingle anymore. I think right before the last story they put in Steve's jingle to announce it and everyone shuts up.

I love how Ben knows all the things and sounds like AI especially with his accent

The news isn't the news without the intro :(

Other people: "This guy is my boss, I should be nice to him" James Corden: "We're going to mock you on national television, make him wear stupid outfits, and move his chair around the studio constantly"

That is a wild story and you cant help but like the edge even more. He literally took the high road. A1.

I miss Steve’s jingle, but honestly, he might be happy by the idea that he doesn’t have to think up something new and amazing each and every day.

When the news jingle is playing audience should be told to be quiet 🤷‍♀️ it’s the magical touch. Without it the news ain’t the news 🤷‍♀️

I was in this show! 2nd row, wearing a suit and a white mask! It was great being an audience member after watching so much of the Late Late Monologues here!

I love it when Nick fights back because he always makes people laugh and lands the hit. I do feel like he holds back though because he doesn't want to James to get butthurt. Although I'd love to see Nick be ruthless after everything he has put up with. Maybe James can dish it but can't take it.

No. It can translate. There's Trust Tree shows, all gold. Then there's preTrust Tree. I assume they were garbage, have no idea I never watched them.
