As Elvis leaves the stage in his final concert tour, he makes a hand gesture. I can reveal that it is a KARATE hand gesture- specifically KENPO KARATE. Now, there is a lot fake news that it is something more sinister, but Elvis made a similar gesture before this concert as he was waiting backstage. Perhaps the reason Elvis made this gesture is that Kenpo master Ed Parker was his bodyguard for this tour. Ed can be seen just behind Elvis as he leavers the stage. This was Elvis' last-ever concert tour; this sensational clip is from Rapid City June 21, 1977 and was one of the shows which was professionally filmed for TV. The tour ended on June 26 with a great show in Indianapolis, but sadly it was not professionally filmed. Long Live The King!

My aunt and uncle went to see Elvis at the Boston Garden in 1972 or 73. My uncle dropped off my aunt and their friends at the entrance while he went to park. He parked the car and on his way he saw a long stretch limousine. My uncle went around it after it stopped. He bumped into one of the people getting out of the limo and he apologized. The voice said "No worries, man." He looked up and realized he bumped into Elvis, who patted my uncle's shoulder.

My mom has his autograph. Our cousin was stationed in Germany with Elvis. One day his Jeep broke down and along came another Jeep with no other than Elvis in it. He gave my cousin a ride back to camp (I guess) and he asked him for his autograph for his 13 year old cousin (my mom). Elvis obliged. Actually Elvis got everything about his style from the late great Roy Hamilton. He's far from unique.
I’m 60, and remember Elvis from TV & radio growing up... Anyone born after 1973 or so doesn’t know how much Elvis meant to the American people, or the world...His voice, looks, news, captivated men and women... He was 100 times what ALL of today’s entertainers and video games combined would be. There’s no way to explain how much he gave to society. Although he was rich, his fortune was a pittance compared to what the music and movie industry made off him...He died much too soon, because he had nobody to really help him when he most needed it...

Just for those that didn't know...the Quote "Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building." This was announced after each live show Elvis did obviously once he had actually left the building. This was stated to the audiences because they would remain there cheering with a standing ovation in hopes of him coming back out to perform an encore. Artists typically will come back out after five or ten minutes and do another number for the cheering crowd. Elvis never did an encore. Hence the now world renown informative statement..."Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building." If translated to a modern day sort of meaning..."Ladies and gentlemen...stop clapping and screaming...go home...for real...he left...show's over." When Elvis left the stage...that's it. Nobody does that but him. Kind of a cool calling card. I was born in May 1970 so Elvis wasn't exactly my cup of tea. As I grew up playing guitar for 42 years now and having experienced many live performances of music in person and through video. I recognize all the influence that is his that covers the entire industry. People like to use the word Legend for so many performers and entertainers and groups but I kind of see it like this. Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhodes, The Beatles, Hendrix, Sinatra, Streisand, Garland, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly etc. All icons. Legend? Unquestionably Elvis.

It is a saddest thing I've ever seen him leaving the stage for the very last time. If someone would have only known that he was going to die and helped him. Elvis should still be living , Elvis should have enjoyed so much more life. I'm sure Elvis would have brought many more pleasurable things to his fans. The world still misses you everyday Elvis and especially me love always Shelly

Elvis’s mother was just 46 when she died! Elvis had just about Everything wrong with him Gladys had wrong with her,. Everything was hereditary! On Aug 16,1977,. He had his 3rd heart attack! He didn’t even know he’d already had 2 before that,. If he did, he didn’t say anything! He had to work! That’s just how Elvis was & who he was,. He had lot’s of responsibility,. He took that very seriously! Elvis Died!

He changed the face of music. A soulful, talented man whom I believe was just a pawn for the greedy people around him. Me too... I was born shortly before he passed and that piece of information was one of my first memories. My mom was due on August 16th 1977.... It was a hot and humid summer and she was sick of being pregnant so all of her friends got together and told her to try jumping up and down, the rode the city bus all over town .. lol ..... But nothing made her labor pains start. The next morning, August 8, 1977 my mom woke up and she said that she felt weird but really didn't know why..... Well in a few hours she knew why lol.... I was born the morning of August 8th. When Elvis passed my mom took it as hard as she would have had he actually been family. She was devastated. She put his records away and for years..... years! She could never listen to another song of his. Then when I was 4, on the anniversary of his death she opened the box and slowly took out all of her records. 1 by 1 she played each and everyone as she cried herself dry. I remember seeing her so sad and not understanding why. Finally she called me over and sat me on her lap and she said, " I tha k God everyday that you decided to come early. I don't know if my heart could of handled the best day of my life happening on the same day that I got my first heartbreak.....sometimes you just got thank the lord for the little things he does that you never asked for...... I want you to listen to these with me and tell me what you think.". And I did.... I cried during some songs because his heartbreak felt like my own..... I laughed along listening to a live album..... It was like he was in the room and man, he was charismatic!!! And I vowed that I would never fall in love unless they could make me feel the way I felt when I heard Elvis sing about love....... And I didn't until I met my high school sweetheart, my husband of 30 years. When I fell for him, I finally felt the kind of love the only Elvis Presley could sing about and that love has never wavered........ Elvis inspired people long after his body left the mortal realm- his spirit, his legacy, and his talent were and will always be.....evermore..,
He was amazing . And he is still loved by millions. Rock on forever. RIP. ❤❤❤❤❤

One was Elvis and one held the flashlights to give the spotlight effect.then they'd switch. They each had towels tied around the neck like a cape like Elvis did. The funniest part of ALL this Pamela is this took place in the 1970's. I was 5 years old or so when this happened...my dad barely told me all this less than 10 years ago or so. Best to you in your playing.
One time when when I worked for FedEx, a trainer came up from Memphis and he said that when he was a kid, his family was out for a Sunday drive and he was sitting in the back seat…as they sat at a light, the trainer looked over and there was Elvis sitting on a motorcycle…he said that Elvis smiled at him obviously tickled at the young boy’s sense of awe and drove off as the light changed
Elvis has left the building along with his fans and the world It is sad Elvis is not here with us to see him alive and listen to his incredible music and his voice . R I P Elvis 💔💔💔
I loved him so much snd I still do. Elvis …. Always !!!!

@@marypatton5318 same Mary! I was the exact same age, but my birthday is in September. I remember what street we were at when it came on our AM radio, in my moms mustard color 69 Chevy Vega…. We were at a stop sign, turning right, we had just pulled out of our driveway and we were at the end of our street…. I remember the sound of the blinker even…. The radio was on low…. It was a radio station called “62 KGW”…..”Elvis Presley, the King of rock and roll has died”…… my mom instantly said “what…. What did they say? They said that Elvis is dead?? What?? That can’t be right…. Omg…. Is that what they said??? No!!! No!! This has to be a mistake”….. and my mom Started to cry…. He was HUGE for her generation! She was in high school when he was at the height of his career! She was devastated…. We went in a loop around our neighborhood and went home. We turned on the TV and called my grandma….. I even remember what we had for dinner…. Salisbury steak TV dinners…. 💔💔💔

He now sings, and prays Jesus Christ will touch all people. Amen&Amen
My parents went and saw Elvis's 2nd to last performance in South Dakota. The last scheduled stop in Indianapolis would be the King's final performance. Iconic
Man what a time to be alive. Unfortunately I am only 17 and was not able to be there to listen to the phenomenal performances he’d showcase. That is an era that will forever be missed. Rest in peace to the greatest of all time.🤍🤍

Has she been to Graceland? It's awesome! I didn't like the recent documentary movie about him. I thought it was negative and depressing. Graceland on the other hand is uplifting and shows more I his happy side.

I’d like to give my utmost thanks to all the Elvis’ impersonators, as they are keeping his memory alive, and put in so much effort! Especially the one at Cannock a few weeks ago, NO ONE Could work that hard. Respect. ❤
