LOOK 10 YEARS YOUNGER IN 10 MINUTES // Proven by Science

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

There is 1 single exercise proven by a nice trial called LIFTMOR. This trial showed that exercise, specific ones, can reverse bone loss. Bone loss is the top reason people "look older". Yes skin, fat pads and muscles play a role but nobody talks about bone loss. There are 3 top exercises and 1 clear winner. Vitamin k2 d3 is also a clear winner here helping calcium get to where it needs to go. Into your bone and not into your vessels and ligaments.

I'm 5'3" tall and 70 years old. I can deadlift 150 pounds. I do water walking for 45 minutes per day because I love it and it helps me maintain my weight. But then I do rebounding exercises (using a mini-trampoline), ballet barre (at my kitchen counter), and yoga to "oil up the joints," move lymph, and hang on to mobility. Frailty = weak muscles + stiff joints. I'm working on a full Asian squat (I can only do it while assisted - i.e., hanging onto a bar, or as a wall sit at the moment, but I'm getting there!). Finally, twice a week, I pick up really heavy stuff (or push it in a sled push or pull) with a personal trainer to make sure I use good form and don't injure myself. I had a friend who said, "Sheesh, it's not worth it!" I've conquered my diabetes, lost over 200 pounds, and gained years of life. I can guarantee that it is 100% worth it!

Thank you Dr Rajani. I am a vet and found I wasn't able to bounce back up after examining a dog on the floor. I read a testimony from an elderly woman that she did 35 squats in the bathroom while brushing her teeth twice a day to strengthen her legs so I tried it. Within a week my leg strength was noticeably improved. She emphasized pushing your butt out for proper form to not hurt your back or knees. I will add some weights to improve bone strength per your advice. Thank you again! Anna

Great video and the scenery is just beautiful. You are right about form…if you are lifting something you need to squat properly or you are goi g to hurt your back for sure. All these exercises are needed for everyday life. How many times do you have to lift something from the floor then place it on a shelf over your head. Instead of squatting everyone just bends over. Once you learn these movements you never bend over again. Well of course unless you understand to move your leg out in a ballet position if it is something small and light. 😄 love the beach! Thanks for the scenery. 🙏🏻😊❤️

Weight lifting is the fountain of youth, as is sprinting. I compete as a professional bodybuilder (natural) and noticed right way that everyone who competes looks a solid 10 years younger than their age due to their commitment to exercise. The people in their 40's and 50's actually look the best. I have been training for 17 years non stop and it has helped me retain youthfulness of skin, muscles, bones and posture. I encourage everyone to lift weights, doesn't need to be heavy just needs to be consistent.

I’m 56, in menopause, have been on HRT for five years, always “active” in my adulthood but earlier this year enlisted the help of a strength and conditioning coach because I was noticing decreased muscle tone and definition, and overall strength. Best thing I’ve ever done. He programs my workouts, supervises me when I feel I need it, and has encouraged me so much. The difference in my overall strength (especially legs and shoulders) has been tremendous. For the first time in my entire life I can do full body pushups! I was surprised by how much I was actually able to lift with proper form, more than I expected! Ladies, do not be afraid of lifting heavy! ❤Thank you for this excellent video, Doc! I increased the amount of weight I lift, increased frequency from 1 day to 3 days of lifting weights and increased my protein consumption and this year mar 2023 my dexa scan showed I reversed completely the osteopina. My muscle / fat body ratio is at 93 % of women my age (68). Numerically my body is like that of a 45 year old woman. Lifting weights has many long term benefits.

Yep, I’m a 60 year old guy and I’ve known this for decades. Lifting heavy weights, making yourself strong in the major compound lifts is LIFE CHANGING and ANYONE can do it (unless you have a disability, and even disabled people find a way) you just have to learn how to do it properly and be willing to put in the effort on a consistent basis. The alternative is going downhill as you age. SQUATS and DEADLIFTS are the king and queen. Just those 2 exercises will do it! And EVERYONE is a LOT stronger than they think they are. I convinced my wife to do these along with a few other exercises and she now knows it’s CRUCIAL to do for looking young and keeping healthy. You’re NOT going to get HUGE ladies( unless that’s what you’re after and make a HUGE commitment) but this WILL make you younger and you WILL LOSE WEIGHT. This is ABSOLUTELY the best bang for your buck without a doubt. It’s hard but SOOO worth it. And you can do it at home by investing in a power rack, a bar and a few plates. If you do these two exercises ONCE a week even, your life will change and it will completely change your health, just give it time!

Great! You can learn how to deadlift properly, conventional or sumo, depending on your body type, one will be better. Start off light and add 5lbs to the bar every week. I would highly recommend a power rack or at least a squat rack for doing squats, just so you have safety pins in case you don't make it up. Also, don't jerk the weight when you deadlift and don't descend too fast on the squats, these will lead to injury sooner or later. @@jhssmith2004

Agree with losing weight but not the younger part. At least for some, lifting heavier trashes the body and adrenals (unless you live a stress free). I'm at 215 deadlift and 265 hip thrust. It takes days to recover from the fatigue, and my skin looks terrible. Some 30 min cardio sessions, stretching, and bodyweight circuits reverses the damage very quickly. I still lift, but nothing over 100lbs for legs and 25lbs for arms if I want to feel vibrant. Just my experience.

I've been lifting weights for years, but it's only this year that I got a trainer -- and what a difference that makes, especially to my glutes! I sometimes can push more weight than men in my gym, and my trainer said he's always excited to train me because I push myself yet I also know my limit. So yeah, to all the women here, go for it. It's also good for mental health.

(Forget most of the machines in the gym-free weights are game changers.) I also use peptides like frag 191, ipamorelin and cjc no dac, Aod 1295 to lean out my body. My legs are cellulite free (finally) at 55 years old. Now, it's week 7 of consistent 30-60 minutes a day. My BMI is 24.7. I'm 73, my goal includes travel. I'd enjoy it more if I could improve my strength and endurance. True - the exertion during major cleaning and maintenance work in a multi-level house, as well as outdoors, involves all of our muscles and requires a considerate amount of weight lifting. It keeps you in great shape when you do it regularly and combine it with a healthy diet. And you have something tangible to show for it.

Great video, Dr!! I love your content! One thing I did for myself at 59, soon to be 60, is invested in a Bellicon rebounder/minitramp the beggining of this year. It's amazing, like the Rolls Royce of rebounders. I have osteoporosis from being in surgical menopause since 42 and also live with RA. The Bellicon is easy on my joints, but allows the resistence necessary to build bone, helps me maintain balance, increases lymph circulation, builds muscle ( and firmness!) & provides ability to customize my workouts depending how I feel on a given day. Bouncing is a seriously happy exercise! 🙂

Same!! Thank you for the reminder!! I have to use my bellicon more! I just started doing red light therapy again using my joovv light panel I got years ago to work on my sleep patterns. I firmly believe that this blue light from devices and being indoors is causing more disease and aging. I also got a blue light for daytime when winter comes to keep my sleep patterns. Light therapy is something we all need!! One time I took my bellicon outside 😂 and bounced in the sun 🌞 it was wonderful! And don't forget to get your regular massage treatments!!

I was diagnosed with oesteopenia while I was in peri menopause at 46. At that time of diagnosis, I was already in the gym 5 days a week lifting with weights. I then started BHRT. About two years later another scan revealed my oestopenia was completely reversed. For me, I needed both the weighted training and BHRT to rebuild my bone density. I believe this is because I am already small boned, Asian and both my parents have osteoporosis and they both also take prescription meds for it. So I have genetics more prone for oesteoporosis unfortunately. Great advice ❤

Such a very good video and very timely! You are so correct! I was diagnosed with osteopenia a couple years ago. I had gone mostly plant based and neglected to take calcium supplements or fortified foods..I had been exercising regularly including weight bearing..I decided I did not want to end up with osteoporosis and wanted to see if I could reverse the numbers. I began taking calcium, vitamin k2, d3, soy milk daily and continued lifting weights. Well I did it!!😁a recent mineral density scan a showed significant increase from last year test results! So ladies-get lifting-it's crucial. Thank you again Dr. Rajani for looking out for our well being. Stay well🌺

I was doing weight training 3 times per week but started getting extremely exhausted and tight and sore in my late 30s, even if I warm up beforehand and stretch after, have a protein shake after and magnesium before bed. Also, weight gain and bulky in the upper body where I build muscle easily. I changed to weight training once per week, full body 40min, twice per week ashtanga yoga 30min and then a couple of short bursts of walking up stairs or doing a 15 min on the spot walking workout. I’m not sure how it affected my bone but I lost the extra weight, lost the bulkiness in the upper body and am still toned all over.

Hola Dr Rajani, I gave myself a challenge last year to do 100 squats with a 10 lbs weight and let me tell you it was not easy! I hurt all over but I didn’t give up so I did this daily and I noticed the change in everything, my muscles, tightening of my butt, my arms, posture, endurance and most of all my overall strength in walking and squaring down for longer periods of time! I moved to California and gave myself some time but started up again in between doing cardio one day and squats and weights the next day! My energy is better than 30 year olds and I’m 68 but don’t look it! Thank you for all your healthy videos, you are amazing ❤

Luckily discovered weight lifting when I was active duty Navy. Never liked running, but I loved lifting weights. Preferred tennis and power walking for "cardio." After retired from the Navy, gym fell to the wayside. Trying to get back into it again. Got a Total Gym and I love doing Squats, sumo squats and 1 leg squats: does keep you in the correct form. Also love pull-ups on the Total Gym: compound muscle groups targeted vs an isolated bicep curl or tricep kickback. Hadn't gotten back to dead lifts and shoulder presses: Now I will. Thanks for the awesome videos!!! Wealth of knowledge and information.

Excellent video. I am very petite, 62, 100lbs. for all of my adult life, and had been taking a med for osteoporosis, however was told to stop as you can't take it for a long period of time. I now am lifting weights and am anxious to get results from my next bone scan.
