My respects and credits for bravery and determination by the longboarder. But I think had the cyclist been more serious race wise, he woulda easily beaten the longboarder. A small wheeled longboard with no drive mechanism, relying on gravity power alone for propulsion will not stand a chance against a gravity driven plus FULL CRANK AND PEDAL ASSISTED size 27 inch wheeled road bicycle.

To me that looks like fun the same way that racing motorcycles looks fun. I'd 100% try it if I knew it wasn't going to kill me sooner rather than later, and hurt a helluva lot in the process! What was the chase vehicle? Are the pants abrasion resistant? I'm going to watch this one a few times. Would love to see a gopro, but am guessing that would mess with the aerodynamics a bit much.

Impossible. It can’t be. The cyclist woulda easily won had he descended using a largest ring - to smallest rear cog combination and pedalled on it flat out. Perhaps he wasn’t giving it his all not taking the race very seriously. A big wheeled, pedal propelled road bike can easily eat up a tiny wheeled longboard with no drivetrain in a serious race downhill . Had I been the cyclist, this longboarder will not stand a chance.
