If you are considering getting one of these airbrushes I have an affiliate link that gives me a little financial kickback without you having to pay more. Its not something I'd usually do but as I'm saving for a trip to the Nats in the USA I thought I'd give it a go. www.gaahleri.com/?ref=lpjmodels

I agree with your comments - I'm one of these people who Ghaaleri also sent a number of airbrushes to for free, but I did tell them that any use of the products and comments on them in the videos would be honest opinions seeing as no money has changed hands and it isn't a sponsorship. Like you, I've been trying them out for a while without making any hard thoughts on them yet just so I can give a true reflection of them. On the whole I find the ones I've tried generally ok to use, being a bit more forgiving with a less than intense cleaning regime

Thanks for a good thorough review. I was pleased to hear you say that you had used the airbrushes for sometime before giving the review. Gaahleri have been dishing these out to a number of youtubers to give reviews so they are obviously keen to create a name for themselves. I think you are the only one to have used them before giving the review rather than a quick squirt out of the box. For a cheaper airbrush they seem to work well and if you are still not 100% committed to the hobby this is a good buy.

Nice to see a thoughtful review after a proper test period unlike some of the hyperbole out there a couple months ago.

Thanks for leaving this comment. Good thing it was near the top, within a full scroll wheel spin. Otherwise, based on the start of the video that made it look like "Long term review..." was going to mean taking it out of the box and a 1/4oz. of random paint swipes on a sheet of copy paper, I was going to leave thinking it's yet another click bait titled video. Thanks.

I bought their Mobius 0.2 a few months ago and like it quite well. Gaahleri sent me an updated trigger at no charge (the original trigger would open the air if you pulled back the trigger with out pressing down on it which is a technique to get splatter.) They have great customer service and respond to emails very quickly. I like the Mobius 0.2 so much I recently ordered the Mobius 0.3 from them.

They were meant to send out a movies for review but didn't hear anything since, have heard good things, the customer service is good, it's what's missing from most budget airbrush brands

Thanks for another honest review. I purchased the 39 version earlier last year following your comments at that time. I am very happy with the Gaahleri airbrushes, the only issue I had was with a particular primer (Black from Green Stuff World), that always dried up in the airbrush and was blocking the flow, this happened no matter which brand of airbrush I used so it was a paint issue. Great little unit and looking forward to many happy years of use.

Thanks for a thoughtful, longer term, test, useful to know✌️👍💜😊 Ive subscribed - Im a long in the tooth railway modeller (as opposed to a retail therapy box buyer - although RTR has its place, no value judgements made), but I have built military models, aircraft, RC cars, boats and 'planes etc too👍😊 Itll be interesting to see what a year or so of use brings. BTW where do you purchase your paints from please - do they spray well with the H&S 0.15 needle/nozzle set🤔🤞 Thanks again ✌️👍😊

I had to quickly replace my borked cheapo priming brush and I was recommended a more expensive Ghaaleri, however, due to the timing I had to get the GHAD-39, but I was very very impressed and I agree with your assessment. Great vid.

I received a ghad-39 for Christmas and after a few teething issues of it back flowing (repeated nozzle cleaning sorted it) I'm now really happy with it. I ended up getting a mobius 0.2 which is also nice to use. I'd say if you're a H&S or Iwata user you won't be blown away but anyone coming from a fengda/no name will be impressed.

I think you're right, the market isn't those with boutique high end guns, but those a little more invested in the hobby than beginners, there's always room for more tools in my opinion. I'm glad you got yours sorted, maybe residue was left behind after the factory test ?

@@lpjmodels I think it was me as initially it was okay. I find drop in nozzles are more convenient but not as forgiving. Once I made sure the rear of the nozzle and end of the airbrush body were 100% clean it was okay and has been perfect since. One thing I did note was the o ring on the body basically disintegrated after a short time. I went through the original and spare and ended up just using some PTFE tape in its place.

I was not impressed with these airbrushes. You can get a GSI Creos for less than what the 98d costs.. Not to mention the backstory of this company is shady to say the least.

The newer Mobius airbrushes fix the restrictive nozzle problem, but bring their own issues. Certainly a viral marketing campaign they’ve engaged in, but at the end of the day nothing special.

BLIMEY! The 39 is better than the 89. I bought the 89 thinking it better than those below it. I have experienced some tip dry issues on up-close detail work (mottling, fine lines). Cannot always be certain what is at fault; operator, tool or paint. Thanks for posting this video
