Great video John. I just drove my 2.0 for the first time outdoor and was super impressed (I had only driven it at OCRC prior). Tekno makes such great kits with great stock set up sheets

Nice video, I have a 2.0 that was my son's first 8th scale, we also have a 2.1 that he has raced since last November, and a used XB8E that we picked up this fall for my son to try pillow ball... When a new Tekno E-Buggy comes out we will definitely build and try it, they've been great cars. My son also built his first Nitro Buggy this fall, an NB48 2.1, so far he loves it... We are going to experiment with the X-ray car some, and might try their newer car in spring, the one we picked up is a somewhat updated XB8E '20 ....

Did you add any rear shock spacers to limit that some guys did? Also, lose the mid chassis brace it helps with rear traction

Nice! Any reason why your base plate, in the front, it's looking very used up? Compromise between big jump but lower buggy for better speed? Or is it just a case of it looks worse in the video compared to irl?

The front kick up area always gets the most wear, it’s what takes the most impacts from suspension compression on jump ramp launches. I consider it normal, but never really compared across all the brands.

You should try the lightweight towers and the rest of the new parts. It’s great!

Did you do lightweight towers AND the -2mm lowering parts?

@@netcruzer yes I did it all -2 parts and the lightweight towers. If you run on high grip the difference might not be noticeable but on low/medium grip the car feels much better.

Can you tune a C hub to behave exactly like a pivot ball where you have better on power steering?

I’ve not heard of this advantage of pivot balls before. I don’t find the C hub lacking in on power steering at all. You can get different degrees of hub, 15, 18, 21 to tune but I like the kit feel, more than any pivot ball car I’ve driven.

Depends on what your local track is. If it’s an outdoor 1/8 I’d say yes. Otherwise no, because this is a top spec race buggy there is cheaper ways to get started. But if you want one of the best (IMO) EBuggy chassis, this is it.

I ordered extra parts that were new 2.1 things like the new front kingpin bushings, and needed none of them. Unless you crash hard a lot, I don’t think you need any spares at all.
