    I’m gonna be getting an et48 2.0 and build it primarily as a badger with occasional track use (I have a track 5 mile from my house)… I’ll outfit it with a tekin power system (rx8 gen 3 and a tekin 2200kv motor roughly, 3s and 4s lihv, protek 170tbl servo, Futaba 4pm rs304sb, badlands 2.8 or the tires rich here uses for race, and for bashing badlands mx28 or maybe the 38’s, full optioned shocks, steel spur gear, and color I’m having trouble choosing… spaz stix colors for sure but colors I’m trying to decide.. Candy red with silver metallic or black backing, candy orange with black or silver metallic backing, gold red color shift, orange/purple/red color shift, or other style… any tips on Anything would be great as this is gonna be my first kit build and racer.. asl me for anything about it)

    I built my Truggy to race but during my first test drive off the track I was Shocked how amazing it drove compared to all the the other rtr vehicles I’ve driven advertised as bashers. Perhaps it’s time to start talking about how these vehicles are great on and off the track. Not to mention how fun it is to build a super high quality kit.... it’s just expensive. That being said plenty of people buy 3 rtr bashers and endless upgrades trying to make it strong.

    Racer. This is looking like an awesome kit from Tekno, sadly also desperately needs an aftermarket body that covers the front shock tower, though looking at the second set of mounting positions for the body mounts they definitely knew it was coming. Not only does this look incredibly ugly imo, it's also not ideal for newer drivers who might be flipping their car more often than a pro. If you have a body covering the tower it will not dig into the dirt surface if you land on it. Sure it won't be able to fend off a "death blow" but I already see my fair share of bent Buggy shock towers after seemingly small incidents. This thing is both heavier and the shock tower is longer, creating much more leverage.

  • @byzone0632

    @byzone0632

    3 жыл бұрын

    No, if you want both buy both. To convert the truck to a buggy you would need: Chassis $90, eb48 2.0 front and rear shock towers $80, eb48 2.0 shocks give or take $120 shorter front and rear drive shafts shorter universals, shorter arms, and there are probably more things that I am forgetting. Overall it’s best to just get both

    Traditionally, 1/8th scale buggies are narrower and have a shorter wheelbase by about 2" - they also have bodies that stay within the shock towers similar to the body on this ET48 2.0. Traditionally, truggies have bodies that go over the front shock tower, but with in the rear shock tower
