That gambling game... i wanted to skip it but then it captured me and my interest. Sometimes the best videos/recommendations are those you dont expect, as it should be: expand your "bubble" and habits! ❤ thank you

Totally - i make videos like this cos I like to watch them. And I agree - on paper, Bloodsport Gambler doesn't sound like something I'd be into either, but there is something about how it's been implemented that makes me want to play it!

Same here, I’m not really into gambling but seeing the characters and the art gets me interested. After watching and upon further pondering I think it would probably be pretty fun. I checked it out on google and it doesn’t seem like it’s that easy to get ATM

..and Toten Haus! Another micro solo rpg that goes on my 'to buy list'! This type of/category i so exciting and intersting, some bloated kickstarter miniature heavy games could take a design lesson. One can always get another one of those small and cheap games, they dont take up any space in all kinds of senses: timewise, spacialy and financialy. Except when you have a whole box of them 😂

Haha, yup my box of games like this is getting bigger! But you're right of course - I honestly would rather have a game like this than some massive Kickstarter that I wouldn't even have time to play!

Hello, I've come here to offer some advice on reading the stat blocks, as the author himself! :) So - the stat blocks were written in a matter to be as convertible as possible, with classic D&D / B/X methodology as a starting point. If there's a bonus somewhere, you should treat it as an attack bonus, and dice after such bonus describe a damage done by such attack. Other features after the Morale / Treasure section serve as a "special abilities" of given creature, described in a way to easily adapt them into game-system you are using for play. In case of any other questions - A.M.A. :)

Great little collection. I'm planning to play my first gamebook in July, and Talamander may be my second one, it looks great! For the Vodnik, I believe you are right on the HD/HP, and for the Def: 13 I think it's a D20, so you need to roll under 13 to hit him? And then the claws attack is with both hands so it's doubled, (+2 / D4) = 2D4 +4, +4 being the damage modifier. That's my best guess anyway!

The most journal-y thing I've seen you run is Eleventh Beast. I'm developing a much more story driven solo game, somewhat like Thousand Year Old Vampire. I wouldn't strictly call it a journaling game, it's playable with just short notes, but the same applies to Thousand Year Old Vampire. I guess what I'm asking is, have you played TYOV, and would you be interested in something similar if I get my playtest draft finished up? I do think both TYOV and this game of mine are a bit long for your usual format, though I have seen good TYOV youtube videos.

Yup, I think you're right about Eleventh Beast being the closest to a journalling game that I've got (in terms of it's minimal mechanics). I haven't played Thousand Year Old Vampire, though I know it has a reputation as one of the best solo journalling games out there! I'd be happy to check your game out - though I sometimes struggle to fit in all the games I want to play 🙂 Best of luck with your game and thanks for watching!

I've never talked about it on the channel or played it off the channel! Looks cool though - one of the many games I'd love to find time for and share on the channel! It can be found on itch.io if you have more time than me 🙂
