I love that camera. I own the white one. Ive been working with it and it is by far my favorite camera. I call the canera my baby.

Hi there. May I ask if the camera has film ejecting problem (stuck) and loosing film at all for you within 2 years using it? Thank you!

I had the opportunity to try it for a few hours. It's a very nice camera, probably my next one, to upgrade from my Fuji Wide 210 : macro lens, multi-explosure, finer focusing, remote control, and you can disable the flash. I had great looking pictures with it, even if I'm not a huge fan of wide angles (but it has a macro lens and I love shooting flowers). The only thing that bothers me is that despite it was an overcast day I had to stay with the exposure compensation to -1. They should have made a -2 setting.

I bought one today and it is fun.

Thank you for this video. Did you find any problem with zone focusing? Did you find photos were out of focus? Thank you.

How much was Polaroid to shoot, per picture, back in the good old days? 50 cents? They were always expensive. Although, in the film era, 50 cents for an instant picture was not so bad. I think to process a 24 frame roll of 35mm film and print it on 4x6 used to cost $6-8.

is there a place to put straps? considering it is a large camera perhaps it would be useful if it fits with a camera strap for carrying.

Need some advice: if I use macro lens, should I shoot withthe main objective set at 0,6m, or infinite?

3:06 Does the exposure compensation on this camera really work like that? Normally you would do +1 for dark situations and -1 for bright situations.

Might sell some of my Polaroid Cameras for this camera. Polaroid ended their Spectra Film so I am considering buying soon. Instax film is *miles* cheaper than Polaroid Originals film. If this camera was an SLR, dare I say it might've been the perfect camera.

So I am new to lomography and was wondering how to use the viewfinder when looking through it? Do I put the object in front of the lens then look through the viewfinder or just look through the viewfinder and compose?

Huh? You look through it and take a picture like every other camera with a viewfinder.

Thinking of buying a new analog from Polaroid when I stumbled across this. The Polaroid is over 300 and the film more expensive then the Fuji also. Which one takes the best pictures? I look forward to a comparison review sometime.

i have been into this for a long time. and wasted too much money. so i am talking from experience. first of all. which polaroid? i own many. also 2 fuji instaxs. 210 wide and neo classic. it really depends on your skills in polaroids. but again which one?. i don't like impossible films. they really suck compared to fuji film. so i use a packfilm polaroid 103 camera with fuji 100c film. they are amazing!. but they require practice tough. real practice. but it is very rewarding... and costy. now to fuji instax. if you want to become serious about your photography. avoid them. not they are bad(it is just for casuals imo). but seriously the image is way too small on the neo classic. wish they made a wide version it would be kick-ass awesome :(. and the instax 210/300 has NO FLASH ON/OFF FUNCTION!. it is the least camera with features i own. has only 0.9 to infinity focus options. the polaroid 103 is worlds better. funny that the 103 was made in the 1960s. i also have a polaroid 250. both are good. but the latter is much more expensive. but fuji has an advantage. it is cheap. also the instax films are much cheaper than pack films. or impossible films. i struggled a lot with impossible films so i stopped buying them for my sx 70 slr. it is not worth shedding a penny on them. trust me on this one. you will be very disappointed or even have your whole experience ruined. i recommend having a packfilm camera that uses fuji packfilms due to availability of films also you can add flash and other stuff to it. it has way too much accessories. but look for one that is "converted to aa/aaa batteries". their only draw back of these are after you take a photo out you need to let it develop. i usually leave them for 10 minutes just for safe measures before ripping it apart for the photo(look for instructions. don't worry it is easy). the problem is that they are huge and hefty. but obviously. the most durable and well made also. one will last you a lifetime. . now. the best option. this. the lomo wide. it seems AMAZING!. you can buy cheap fuji instax wide films. which is better in the long run. and have a camera that is looks. and feels vintage. espacially the central park one. i swear if i didn't know about the lomo I would have thought that is a vintage camera from the 60s/70s at first glance. this is surreal. this is the best recommendation for the value of your money. you get an outstanding camera and cheaper films. I am buying it today without hesitation so my advice is get the lomo wide. without doubt the best and hustle free option you will ever find today. or as a 2nd best. a packfilm camera. it does requires some knowledge. nothing extensive. also they will last you a lifetime if maintained properly. but packfilms are more expensive. search for polaroid 100/101/103/250 etc to know more all the best. for me instant or near instant(packfilm) photography is not only a hobby but a way of life. i prefer them over digitalis. nothing beats the feel of the whole process. and i hope you start at the right foot. EDIT: forgot to mention. the packfilm camera i mentioned has a unique focusing method in the view finder. which make things easier. the lomo has a normal view finder and you need to estimate the distance. but most instant film cameras are like that. be it new or old.

It is a new way, just a matter of time, when Fuji introduced the "real" Instax camera like Fuji X.

I bought the original Lomo'Instant and I am not a big fan. I really hate the guesswork you get from the parallax. Not to mention the awful build quality of the cartridge door. It sticks out and has awful light leaks.

Is this really a review or just you reading their press release and showing the stuff they sent you?

What you failed to mention was that compared to Polaroid film, Fuji's Instax is actually a bargain.

what are the dimensions of the camera? Lomography never provides dimensions of the camera

Chris first nice job as always ( AND Don't tell anyone I am Nikon Camera user) On eBay I picked up a Logography Lens for F mount camera It fits on the DSLR quiet nicely. I am letting you know simply as the lens is available but you may have to hunt around for one for Canon or for Nikon . The reason I am mention this as I paid £20 for the lens about $28.ON the DSLR it works fine as it is sent at f8 you can easily adjust the camera to make is usable it as a dail for three setting 0 to infinity portrait and close up . For a 10th of the price you can try out the Lomography lens on your DSLR. The lens so light weight as all it is a piece of plastic with some glass.In a world where everyone seem to me to be more interested in becoming a state of the Art photocopier the Lomo lens is a challenge and composing a picture that is creatively based around the lens's capability thought provoking. No copying stuff you seen someone else do. Just a alternative idea. cheers Chirs

From my experience, an expensive camera would start until you get into a fairly new DSLR. One can be had for under $200, which is a steal, but for a decent quality one with lens and accessories, you should be looking at around $600. A canon t2i can be had used for cheaper than this, so I cede that this may be a but expensive, but in its defense, you are paying a relatively low amount for a camera with good functionality and endless nostalgia, the latter being this camera's main selling point. So yes, it's $200 and yes you can find a "better" camera for cheaper, but you will not get THIS camera.

Well, I had to check my calendar! Nope, it's not 1st April. I don't think I have ever seen such a poorly designed camera. Executed in the cheapest way possible. And those pictures - well, could anything possibly be worse? Finally, How much?? I don't think so.

I don't think I am being too harsh at all - the quality of the camera together with that of the pictures, in my book, are truly shocking! Each to his own of coarse but my brother had a cheap camera given him when we were kids that took far better defined pictures and that one came filled with Dolly Mixtures (yes honestly)!

Plastic doesn't always equal poor quality. I have a couple plastic instant cameras (a Fuji Instax Mini and a Lomo'Instant Automat) and I find both to be great for its purpose. I like the vintage-looking photos that come out. Obviously if I was looking for sharp, clear images with great quality I would not be using an instant camera...

£200 !!! Canon Selphy printers are only £70 and 6x4 prints, making any camera instant! Lomography is so over rated.
